Yuck, nasty morning. I was happy we got about 2 inches of snow out by our place, but then it had a sheet of ice over it this morning.
1. I'm taking off the 24th -26th and then will be working next Thurs, Fri, Mon but will get out early on Monday. It should be really slow.
2. Weekend was great! Friday night - went for happy hour with co-workers, then over to FI's restaurant for dinner and waited to get a ride home with him. I met a really nice woman who was sitting alone at the bar and new to Boston, was fun to meet and talk to someone new! Sat - Hair apt which I was happy with the result (and that it wasn't $400+!) then went to a holiday party that night. Sun - We slept in then had brunch with friends at Stella in the S. End, then made X-mas cookies the rest of the afternoon.

We used to go to Burton's in the city every so often; we always liked it. The food was pretty good, and it wasn't ridiculously overpriced. I was bummed when they closed the Fenway location.
We get the week between Christmas and New Years, so Friday is my last day in the office until January 2nd. I'll probably have to check my email a few times over break, though, since I have a program starting Jan. 6. Hopefully, nothing too monumental will happen, and I won't need to come in to the office for anything.
Weekend was way too quick. We went to the movies on Saturday, and then had dinner at Stoddards, which is now officially dead to us. (Terrible service, and the food made both of us sick. Bah!) Yesterday, we did nothing. I ran to the grocery store, then hung out on the couch because I felt kind of cruddy. Read most of a book, napped, watched The Princess Bride, and dreamed about taking a sick day today. No suck luck, unfortunately. But this afternoon, the dept. is heading over to the convention center to volunteer for Christmas in the City, so that'll be fun.

5KC - That sucks about Stoddards, I've always had a good experience there. Hope you are feeling better.
1. Define "working" DH has off as of Friday afternoon
2. Weekend was stressful. DH got super moody on Saturday and wouldn't let it go, so I got frustrated and pissed at him by Sunday. On the plus side, we got our Christmas tree and our little helper got to participate fully for the first time ever. It was super cute.

LOL at this! I definitely went when I saw that post. I'm not judging her, but I cannot fathom spending that much money on my hair.
I want to see a picture! And what'd I miss about $400+?
Weekend went fast. Friday saw The Hobbit Saturday ran errands and had my eye appt followup so I can finally order more contacts. And while we were in Harvard sq. I bribed the kids to behave during my eye exam with the promise of hot chocolate afterwards. So we went to Burdicks and it was a madhouse. But yummy hot chocolate. Sunday cleaned and had friends over.
What'd you think of The Hobbit? I thought the first half was painfully slow, but LOVED it once they got to Gollum. I think Martin Freeman was a great Bilbo Baggins.
I also somehow missed that its going to be another trilogy and was a tad confused when it ended, lol.
I really liked it! And yes Andy Serkis is a friggin genius! I agree that Martin Freeman was an excellent choice. And I liked that they tossed Lee Pace in there.

V from MM spend $400+ on a haircut this weekend. I cannot imagine!

I have heard the same from other people about the first half of The Hobbit being slow. I'm glad to hear it improved, though. I look forward to seeing the movie.
