Strolling through Costco yesterday we saw a Big Wheel and then the price tag - $50.
I remember burning holes through the thin plastic tires when I was little. I also remember loving the crap out of it.
Target has it on sale for $40 plus I have a red card - so 5% off. I may try to find it in my store (limited availability according to the website), but if not, then will order online using Ebates.
Does $50 for a (cheap plastic) Big Wheel give you sticker shock or am I the only one?

That seems expensive for something that probably won't last the year! Those were always fun until the wheels got bald and you couldn't pedal forward anymore.

I believe this was when we would take the backs off and use them like a scooter with one foot on the seat and one foot pushing off.

I bought DS one (different brand) for $11 at a cargo sale several years ago. He drives it around the kitchen almost every day and parks it in its "garage", which is that little cubby for a desk chair that all 1990s-era kitchens seem to have.

Oh man. Memories. We played "mini baja" which is like a four-wheeler race, around our front yard. We rode those things all the time. My brother and I both had one.
I saw it at Costco too, and thought the price was too high.
DS had one. Worth every penny. He liked it way better that the Kettler he was given. He liked it better and it fit him longer.
My niece fell into her inground pool on one. It floated and kept her head above water until her mom, who was on the other side of the garden could reach her.
