I feel stupid even asking this, but how do you change the batteries? The batteries have been dead for about 6 months, and I'm ready to just throw it in the trash. All of our screw drivers are too fat to get into the cylinder to unscrew the battery. We have some really thin tools, but they aren't big enough to really move the screws. Is there a specific tool I need to buy?
I do and we have had to change the batteries. I think we just used a screwdriver we had around the house. I changed them myself and I definitely do not recall needing any special type tools.

We tried an eyeglass screw driver, and it wasn't strong enough. I'm going to assume that we've just stripped the screws at this point trying to open the back. I'll run by Home Depot and see if I can find something that works. Since no one else is having this problem, it must just be us. If I can't change the batteries by tomorrow, I think it's time to send it to Goodwill.
