I wish I had known about these earlier this month when I needed to tell my MIL what I wanted for Christmas. Definitely putting it on my list for next Christmas though!

FYI you can buy gauze material in lots of colors at fabric stores and online. Not quite as soft as the AA blankets, but cheaper at roughly $4/yard. I made DS1 a big blanket (trimmed in Spiderman fabric, lol) for his bed for summer.

See, they were the only way we could swaddle J, so we LOVED them. However, I'm not sure I'd want a blanket like that for me. My adult size minky blanket I made for his room, on the other hand, is Ah-mazing!

I was just coming here to say that I'd much rather have an adult size minky blanket!
I have to say...I found A&A blankets to be overrated.
(hides and ducks)
This isn't flammable at all. These blankets are up there with Sophie the Giraffe for me in terms of products that don't live up to the hype and are overpriced.

Ha! It was a total PITA to sew, but so worth it in the end.
It looks like the adult ones may be the thicker dream blankets? Where do you see how much they are? I will take one of these AND an adult size minky blanket, please.
I don't get what swaddling has to do with it? DD is 4 and still loves her A & A blankets. We always travel with one and I often wish I had my own for the plane.
A full-sized A & A blanket to use for picnics would also be pretty awesome. Honestly, I've already come up with a few different uses for a me-sized A & A blanket. Thanks for posting, Pugz!

I loved A & A for swaddling! We tried actual receiving blankets and DS would bust out of them and be so uncomfortable. I also used it for nursing when we were out. LOVE them!
I LOVED them but I think we used them for swaddling once. We would tuck them around him in the car seat so he didnt get cold in the air conditioning if we were driving or at teh mall or something, we used them to shield him from the sun when in the stroller, and I used htem for nursing covers. I always have one in my diaper bag.
