Yup, I got nothin'. DH wants me to make a list. All I can think of is one of the Homedic back massagers for the office chair, a VitaMix (to make the healthy stuff I should be eating, since I like to drink my meals.) and gift certs for hair, mani/pedi and massage. Maybe some jeans and sweaters. Other than that, I have no ideas. He wants to get me something "nice." I've already done the diamond earrings route, don't really wear rings, stay home now so there's little reason for jewelry (though there are maybe a couple things I might put on the list in this respect but nothing really gaudy or expensive.)
What's on your list that I can put on mine? My brain is mush right now when it comes to these things. I'm shopped out on the grands (birthdays November, November and December, plus Halloween and hosting Thanksgiving in addition to this Christmas crap. Everything I bought the girls became school stuff when they moved in/were placed with me. I've not shopped much for the Dude (aka Doodle) until today and his party was last Saturday. My brain hasn't gone past kid stuff to get to the adult stuff.
I'm getting nothing for Christmas. Not if I don't start figuring out what I want.
Also on my list: urban decay naked pallette, new fun shoes (green ballet flats), a new crossbody bag and a moleskine professional portfolio with space for my new ipad.
I'm just not in want of anything. I decided on a big leather bag to act as a diaper bag. I also want some Lush bubble bars, and a 18" wilton piping bag. (How fancy!)
Seriously though, this gets harder every christmas and birthday. I think in 2013 we are going to change our gift giving strategy for each other, because it feels like MrJJ and I are always at a loss for gifts.
I have a smartphone (Droid Charge or something along those lines. But I have unlimited talk/text/data and if I upgrade without paying the full retail I lose my grandfathering and my phone is fine). I have an Asus Transformer in lieu of an iPad (DH had the iPad and I wanted non-Apple so we'd have one of each). Have the diamond studs (three pairs now including those I inherited from my Grandma), the journey pendant, a heart inherited from my grandma, a cross...but a girl can't have too many diamonds. (Thanks Marilyn for that bit of sage advice.) I'll just have to find something I like that I can add to the collection. Or maybe some colored stones this year.
The smartphone gloves look cool. I think I'll add those to my list. Not something I would have thought of.
I have enough purses since I SAH now but they're pretty much a staple on the Christmas list thanks to his mom's addiction. But I might find something fun in any event. If you all want to shop for me have at it. And maybe a camera lens? Oh, fun shoes. Yay. I love shoes. I'll have to look and see if I can find something I like.
He just came back from New Orleans with perfume he picked up in the French Quarter. So now I can already smell like a French whorehouse. Or a French outhouse. And I still have a stock of my Bulgari from last year but I suppose I can add black or white to the mix (I have green and pink) or find a younger, funner scent that I like that isn't repped by some poptart or Justin Bieber.
His, I have a GC for his car to get detailed on my list to him.
I can't put a pony on the list because the Grands will think it's for them. It's on their list. And I'd want a horse. A pretty Arab cross, I think.
Janie, I'm totally with you on the gift-giving. We can get what we want when we want for the most part but he likes having stuff to unwrap under the tree.

Hi Flexienana. I know what of you speak. My kids gave up on buying for me years ago. I got a cat from DD1 a couple Christmases ago. A CAT! At least she rescued it and it's adorable...but a CAT.

I would want a soda stream thing. Also a bunch of different flavors of coffee for my Kuerig. A new alarm clock with white noise, a new bedding set, fun throw pillows for my office, and new pots and pans.
Oh, Jillian, thanks for reminding me. I need to pick up Homeland for DH's present.
I think pots and pans might win the day. Mine are okay but some could use replacing or upgrading.
I'm going to add gift cards for the salon and maybe massages. But he doesn't consider those "gifts" - they're "stocking stuffers."
And I'm off to the mall to try to pick up the one black sweater shrug in the area for GD2 to match the berry one for GD1 for Christmas pictures with the grands on Monday.
