I know there was a discussion about this a while back but I can't seem to find it.
What kind of shamp/cond do you use on your toddlers hair? DD has fine hair and the middle to underneath is pretty ringlets. However, the top is wavy and wild. She always has flyways so I keep the front pulled up. I've been using baby shampoo & suave conditioner on her ends but this doesn't seem to help. I also spray a detangler on before combing. How can I tame this stuff? Lol!
My DD1 had super curls--I was told by hairdressers to use adult shampoo & conditioner. So I just used for her what I used for myself just being careful not to get in her eyes. Now at 8 it's thick & just wavy.
I do curly girl on my own hair so I use CG friendly stuff on DD. Sulfate free shampoo, no products containing silicones. Right now we use California Baby shampoo, conditioner, and detangling spray.
I remember the thread: my takeaway was that adult shampoo/conditioner worked for most. We switched to kid-friendly versions of both and it's worked well.
Most days I do need a little detangler in the AM to get the curls to spring back so she doesn't get more tangled as the day goes on, but it's much better than it used to be.
