Did you fnd yourself opening up new CC's at stores where you do the majority of your shopping with baby?
The ones that come to mind are Target and Kohls. I hear a lot of moms, both here and IRL talk about the benefits of being a cardholder with these stores.
Right now we really only have 1 cc that's cash back, but it's hard to beat the 5% at Target, plus coupons. Although I guess eventually I need to compare diaper prices between target and BJs.

I have been thinking about getting a Costco one. If we still lived near REI I might get theirs as we used to buy most of our coats and stuff there. That was fairly infrequent with just DH and I, but with buying kids coats almost every year,it might be worth it.
I have never thought about target.r. Do you get 5% cash back every time you shop at target? Or just certain times?
I did open the Target one, for the 5% but mostly for the free shipping... I think we opened a BRU account when we bought our nursery furniture to get the discount, but we haven't used it since then, I can't imagine we will....
I have a Target debit card that has 5% off and free shipping. The only downside is that when you use it the receipt shows you how much you've saved this year and that means I've spent waaaay too much at Target.
I also have a Gap/ON card that I use only at those 2 stores for the rewards.

My understanding is it is an automatic 5% off your total at Target every time.

I've never opened a CC for anything "mommy related". We have two regular CCs (one Visa, one MC) we alternate using for pretty much everything and the rewards on those are better than any coupons, cash back, etc. I can get anywhere else. The only other CC we have is a Costco AmEx, since they don't take the others there, and we use it exclusively at Costco since we spend enough to earn a nice reward check from it.
I haven't done this. I've though about amazon's card but honestly I don't think DH wants it. If you shop at target the red card makes sense if you can pay it off every month.

No. I dislike having too many open store cards.
DH and I have one joint CC that we use and it has a fairly decent rewards program. Otherwise, I do have a Target debit card. I shop there often enough that the 5% discount is worth it (I've already saved close to $250 this year alone with it, not including coupon savings).
I have never had a store CC before in my life but I did just open a Target card account. It was just too great a deal to pass up. It doesn't have anything to do with the kiddo though, I probably shop the same amount at Target now as I did pre-kid. Actually maybe less because we are on a way stricter budget now.

I already had a Target CC, but no, I would not open a new CC at this point. Maybe in another year if I can find one that will help pay for Disney a few years down the road
I never had a store card until last month. I opened a Kohl's card and I have to say that it has been nice since I can save an additional 15% - 30% each time I shop there. I do buy clothes for the kids there, but I buy other stuff as well.
