I am 20# lighter than when I got my BFP this time last year, yet I am wearing the same pants (size 16 :@ :@ ). I swear I am closer to a size 12 now. I wear large tops, but XLs bottoms. My tummy area is round/spare tire-ish but firmer than pre-baby. So much so that I cannot see without grabbing at my tummy area. Annoying. So I had my yearly yesterday and mentioned this annoyance to my doc. She suggested I go back for an ultrasound to make sure there's nothing wrong. She did not feel anything amiss in her exam, but I'll feel better having a lil look-see in there.
She pointed out that the ligaments could be stretched out and if the answer is "work out your core" well then THAT is fine. But I only gained 12# during my pg (I only made it to 34 weeks!) and my stomach area did not get very large. I have zero new stretch marks.

I think your hips spread too. I worse a size 4 pre-pregnancy. I am like 7 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight and wearing a size 10. My stomach is fine. My hips are just larger.
Nothing amiss according to the U/S tech. My doc should review the results/scans today and get back to me. The tech said my uterus looked back to normal size and my ovaries seemed fine. Not like I was hoping there's something wrong, I just want to know why I'm so puffy!
The pooch is probably due to the c/s. I had a c/s. I gained 30-35, I can't remember now. I lost all the weight within 6 weeks. I'm 8# below but my hips are massive and I have a pooch. I'm guessing it will be there forever now. I swear it will never go away.
