In order to save your house from foreclosure and to avoid paying a large tax to the IRS that is also a business debt, would you divorce your spouse? Also, you could not remarry for a minimum of five years.
This is something Jay's friend did. I feel like there might be more behind the divorce than just this. But maybe I'm just thinking different.

Yes, I would. It's my family home and I'm the third generation to own it. Besides, I could wait it out the 5 yrs and then just remarry Ker and get to do the whole wedding, reception and honeymoon all over again

Honestly, I might. In my line of work, I see people struggling to keep their houses everyday. It puts such a strain on their families. I don't own my house, but if I did I would fight to keep it.
I would have to look into which "hurt" less. nothing would change if we got divorced other than paperwork, but I'm thinking if we couldn't afford the house together, we won't be able to afford it "separated" either.
I would lose the house before I lost my husband. But that's just me.
Exactly this.
I would never consider divorcing him over something like this.
This is my thought as well. I would also have a problem with cheating the system, because even if no direct reprecussions came of it, I beleive karma would kick ass eventually.
