Aw: my MIL is responding to chemo!

I haven't posted a ton about my MIL, but she has colon cancer. She was diagnosed in October of 2010. They removed part of her colon then she had 12 chemo treatments. About 6 months after she finished that treatment, additional tumors were found in her liver. She had part of her liver removed in April and has had 12 more rounds of chemo.

She had another scan last week, and her team of doctors can't even find the cancer on her pet scan! They wanted to do surgery again, but they can't see it on the scan, so they won't. Instead she will do 6 more chemo treatments, and then will be scanned every few months. She is responding to treatment remarkably well!

We leave tomorrow am to see them for the holidays. Chicagoans, I hope the weather holds out until 2:00 tomorrow, so we make it on time!
