Housecleaner--what is a good solution to this

I can add details if need be but I'll try to make this short.
A while back I got a groupon for a cleaning company and was satisfied with that cleaning. I receive emails from the offering "specials" (seems to be their going rate though) so I rehired them for one time cleaning of 3 hours for 99.00.

They came today and did not do the main floor bathroom. I wrote to them and they said it was unintentional and they didn't realize there was a bathroom there.

The manager has offered to come clean it herself but not until 01/03 (after the holidays and after our big new years party) and offered to get the tip back from the cleaning crew (15.00).

I would feel like an ass-hat taking a tip back.

But do I really have to wait 2 weeks to have it remedied? So then I'll have a clean bathroom and a dirty rest of the house (okay not like I won't clean like I normally do)

Any other solutions you can think of?

Honestly, if it were me I would just clean the bathroom myself and find another company. That owner sounds really shitty and I'm sure is not a fun person to work for if her solution is to offer to take tip money away from the cleaning crew.

If you really want you can ask her to give you back $10 or $15 or whatever the bathroom would be worth from her company's cleaning fee but I would not fight it out over that amount, I would just move on.

I would ask for a partial refund and move on. But I can understand why it can't be until 1/3. Its the holidays. I had to book my housecleaning 6 weeks ago since I wanted her on Friday vs. our typical Tuesday cleaning.

I do understand that it's the holidays...but that's also why I schedule the cleaning...

This is just me, but I doubt I would bother asking for anything. In the time spent debating this and asking for a cleaning two weeks from now, you could have cleaned it yourself, which you still have to do anyway. I would leave a so-so review wherever reviews of this company have been left, and not hire them again.

Yeah I guess that what I'm thinking...(to dexteroni and 246baje)...it sucks, I'm disappointed, but if them coming before new years to do it real quick is not an option then it kind of is what it is.
