My kids are like lilly's daughter. They don't play with toys, they play with coasters, remotes, phones, iPads, cups and boxes. This christmas should be interesting.
Balls, stuffed animals and the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn House - that gets played with every. single. day. Best $40 I've spent in a long long time (thank you consignment sale!)

Anything Lamaze. E has loved his Space Symphony Motion Gym since he was just a couple weeks old www.amazon.com/Lamaze-Symphony-Motion-Gym-Space/dp/B0029F1O72/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1356105536&sr=8-1&keywords=space+symphony+motion+gym (apparently it's not being made anymore... I spent $30 on it, not $150!). Now he is enamored by Jacques the Peacock (see signature). As I suspected, he has no interest in the bland-colored organic toys we ended up with. He wants bright colors, bold patterns, and novel noises and textures. A knit natural cotton bunny with a bell inside doesn't do the trick.
