Our daycare is without power, so we have the option to take her to another local daycare. I didn't ask if my daycare's staff would be at the other daycare too. Would you send your LO to the other daycare for one day?
I was already thinking about not going to work at all (and have called in for the morning already), but I was hoping to get a few things done during the day. Some of it I could do with her here. I would feel fairly comfortable doing so if any of her regular staff are over there, but not sure if she won't know anyone. She is 9 months old.
I think I feel guilty staying home from work and still sending her to daycare. :/
Don't feel guilty. I did this yesterday as I needed to get Christmas shopping done. I picked DS up earlier than usual but still got a ton of stuff done on my own. I never would have gotten anything done with him out of daycare!
Yeah, I went to the DMV that's only a few miles away to renew my driver's license and on my way back there was an ambulance and cop car on the other side of the interstate. It was hard to tell what were new cars off and cars that were sitting there from yesterday. I went about 30 on the interstate. I'm glad I stayed home - a 55 mile commute in that would suck. Other people who have similar commutes went in so that was part of my guilt too, but I'm glad I stayed. Drive safely when you leave, Ashley! Hopefully the sun and people driving on the roads will help it get cleaned up.
Oh, and DH said at least one of her teachers and the director was at the other daycare, so I feel better having her there! Now I need to make sure I don't waste the day away on GBCN.

We have used my of company's back up daycare, so yes, I would. But sounds like it is a non issue since her teacher was there. Have a good baby-free afternoon!
