I love Christmas, but I hate the fact that we are hosting DH's family for Christmas this year. It's a lot of extra expense, work and worry. DH keeps asking how he can help, but then doesn't listen either, so I feel a lot of pressure to keep everything straight. We're really so blessed to have the big family and we all get along pretty well, but wine is going to taste really well that day. And I want to enjoy every minute off from work, but feel I won't really get to relax until the 27th when DH is at work and C is back at daycare for a few days.
I am sitting in the Tory burch store gbcning while my mom pesters the sales associate about how she can game the system to get a free gift for buying a bag. She also thinks there will be some drastic after Christmas sale. Lol
She just told me that I am obsessed with my phone. Nope, just trying to get away from your irritating behavior.
I just received a resume for a girl I have to interview for a summer associate position.
She graduated from college in 2010, got a master's degree in education in 2011, and then went to law school. So no real world experience really. Yet her resume is a full two pages.
As a result, I do not look forward to meeting her and assume that I will dislike her
My random is I was in charge of office gifts this year. I got pretty nice gifts for my boss and both assistants. Normally they all send out emails thanking everyone who participated the day they get the gift. None of them have sent any acknowledgement. What gives?

My random is that we are leaving early tomorrow morning to visit my ILs and we will be there until the day after Christmas. I am trying really hard to stay upbeat, but being around them really stresses me out.
Also, technically this is my last day of work until Jan. 7 unless I decide to take more shifts.
Total AW--I made this for a friend's daughter for Christmas. Please ignore the disproportionately long sleeves.
That's nice! Is it for Irish step dancing?
It is. She takes classes, and it's more of a play dress (I'm making a matching one for her American girl doll) than anything competition like. I've never made one before, so it was a fun challenge. I think the skirt shape is a little off,but I'm sure she'll love it.
I'M GETTING A COLA! THANK YOU BABY JESUS! I HAVEN'T HAD ONE SINCE 2009!
That's great. Sadly my first thought because off the all caps was why is she so excited about Coke? Then I realized you meant COLA, cost of living adjustment

My MIL has officially gone BSC. So, because her sons raised a stink about her deciding at the last minute that everyone should get in a car and drive 16 hours each way to spend Christmas with her crazy family, she decided that she and FIL are staying at home, basically giving the sons an ultimatum. That means that 3 of the sons will just stay in their respective cities with their SOs and it puts me and DH in a crappy position because we'll be heading up to their city because my family lives there as well. But after all the crazy drama MIL has pulled in the past few days, there's no way we can spend any time with them. Ugh. This is so stupid.
