So apparently our new baby is VERY picky about the temperature of her bottles. We have never had/used a bottle warmer. Is there a brand or type you would recommend? Any features we should look for?
Thanks for the tips. Holy cow - I had no idea these things were so expensive! I'm not sure I want to shell out that much $$! This is just for the occasional bottle of pumped breastmilk, so I may just stick to a mug of hot water for now.
I also felt these things were too expensive so for awhile we did the mug of hot water. But now we just stick it in the microwave for 20 seconds (for 4 ounces, more or less depending on how much is in the bottle). Shake it up a little to disburse any hot spots - I don't think there are any with being in the micro for only 20 second but just in case. Works like a charm every time!
When my kid wants to eat, he wants to eat NOW so waiting for the mug of hot water was a pain!
We have this one and I bought it after reading a million Amazon reviews that said "we tried 3 different bottle warmers and this was the only one we liked/worked well/didn't mold." I'm sure there's a more scientific reason to buy one, but I was lazy
We have this one, too. DH did the research into it, so I don't know why he picked it, but we like it. DD hates bottles and is only willing to take them at specific temperatures. She doesn't get a bottle at home very often, but with a warmer we can make sure that anybody who watches her gets the bottle to the right temperature.
