My experience was exactly the opposite 6 years ago. I shipped a dozen glasses to a friend for her wedding. 6 arrived broken. They gave the bride a hard time about replacing the glasses and discontinued that pattern. I haven't shopped there since that time.
ITA. We ordered a dining set from them on Cyber Monday. It was backordered repeatedly and I finally got the call to schedule shipping this week. They said the earliest date they had was December 29th. I was like, "but I'm hosting Christmas and I need to have somewhere for people to sit!" So they pulled some strings and are squeezing our delivery in tomorrow. <3
I love C&B. I've had nothing but great service from them. Also, I'm amazed something they shipped you broke. You should have seen the mountains of boxes and packing materials in our front entry after our wedding. They are so good about packaging breakables.
Ditto. I'd find a way to store the extras bc you will probably need them. Our crate and barrel glassware sets were all broken within 2 years. And least you think we are hard on things, we've broken about 3 dishes and 0 other glasses over the past 10 years.
I emailed them this week to complain that a barware set we got 2 years ago for our wedding broke. A knob on the side of the bucket fell off. We'd used it twice, meaning just once before. I asked if I could exchange it and they told me to bring it in for an even exchange or a store credit. They definitely get points in my book!
We ordered our dining room chairs from there. One arrived with about 1" of looser stitching, and there was a very slightly darker spot on the fabric. They sent me a whole new chair without any hassle.

Same! I have glasses from IKEA I got in college, all still kickin', but like half of the C&B ones we got for our wedding 2.5 years ago are broken.
Yep, our glasses lasted about 2 years (a little less) before they started chipping and breaking.

That's weird. Our C&B glasses are 3 years old now and the only one that's chipped or broken is one that H knocked off the table. The rest are in great shape.
We have CB glasses and love them, but they are delicate. The only ones that have broken are ones we loaded into the dishwasher poorly or dropped.
My favorite CB experience was when we were looking for a couch. We had our hearts set on one and thought we'd be able to get a floor sample on sale, but came up empty handed. An employee struck up a convo with us and said he'd give us 10% off since we were new homebuyers and when he went to ring us up he found the couch we wanted in the warehouse for 50% less and still have us the extra 10% off on top of that. We also didn't have to wait a month to have it built, we only waited a week to have it delivered!
