I am working. It's a paid holiday, but we can choose to not take the holiday (they count all the holidays in with our PTO). I chose not to because I'm on call and would probably be paged non-stop. I figured I might as well work and save the day off for some time down the road.

One thing about working on a holiday, no one is here and I can get a lot done. No phones ringing. No requests, etc.
Today is a paid holiday. I'm so glad I have today off because the sun is out this morning after two days of rain so I'm heading outside to plant my pansies and other various flower minions. Yay!

I went in for a few hours, but it was so slow that I went home. BF gets holiday pay and doesn't have to work a full shift, which is nice because he usually works 7-6.
