Some of my friends took theirs down today! I just would have no energy to take down all my decorations on Christmas Day.
We typically take it down after New Years. We host a small get-together on NYE and like having the house still look done up and festive. I'll either take it down New Years Day or that weekend right after (we have an artificial tree btw).
Usually around new years day. Some years I stretch it out to epiphany (Jan 6). This year it will probably be up for longer after Christmas since we just put it up on the 15th. (we just moved.)
Sometime between tomorrow and New Years. We do real trees so it depends on how dry they are. It's wrong to me to take it all down on actual Christmas..it's the whole point after all. Always by January 2 or 3rd though. I like to start the New Year off all fresh and pretty and minimal. I did put our stockings away though. They were all down so we could see what was in them and I just threw them back in the tote. Mainly because I was tired of Rubes pulling on them/dragging them around every 8 seconds. She doesn't care about the tree at all though.

our tree usually gets taken down around the 1st depending on when I'm off. This year I'm not off until the 3rd (for the fiesta bowl!) so it will probably come down in the am and then watch the bowl game for my day off. I'm working both New Year's Eve and day this year because I picked up a shift.
Ours is coming down tomorrow. I always take all my stuff down on boxing day or the day after...I get so sick of the clutter and the "fake" greenery type decor it looks like crap to me after staring at it for a few weeks. I love having my normal house back ASAP after the holidays.
I typically celebrate all 12 days of XMas and keep it up until Epiphany.
this is typically what i do. but, it will honestly depend on what dh decides he wants. i think he gets the itch to take down all of the holiday gear after new years. we will see....
New Years Day. Dh has the day off so he gets to handle all the fun of hauling the thing to the designated tree collection site. If it is really dry we might have to take it down sooner but this year the tree looks okay.
Usually fairly soon after New Year's day. I hate taking all my Christmas stuff down - the house looks bare and cold afterward
This. It's a sad day for me when we take it all down. It looked so pretty and festive for over a month and I like just sitting in the living room with only the tree lights on and nothing else. For me, it's also that there's no other replacement decorations. In the spring I take out our patio furniture, put flowers on the porch, etc. In the fall I have autumn decorations for the front porch and inside. Then there's Christmas. But what decorations do you put out for January? Nothing. And the weather is cold and disgusting. Blah.
January-February is my absolute least favorite time of the year and I dread it.
Y'all know I'm crazy but I leave mine up until the end if January-ish. I'll start taking them down in a couple of weeks. I love having them up.
Us too. The tree usually comes down when it starts shedding needles too badly. I don't turn off the white outdoor lights until maybe Feb? I can't stand coming home to a completely dark house when the days are so short.
