where are your favorite places to look now for accent tables? we are getting a new rocker/recliner for the master bedroom for when the baby comes (the glider we had w/DS is in his room now). DH has wanted a regular piece of furniture in the room for quite awhile and we have plenty of space for it. i will need a nice side table for it. not really sure of any kind of style, color or finish right now. just wanting to browse for a bit. i usually check out kirklands, homegoods, hobby lobby, target and overstock.
i'm even open to the idea of refinishing a piece, so maybe i will search out our local craigslist...
My sidetables are from Ballard. Surprisingly affordable and the quality is amazing. I love them to pieces.
Overstock is full of them too.
Local furniture stores also sometimes have pieces you don't see anywhere else. They also like to dump the little cluttery stuff like end tables so there's deals to be had.
Antique malls! I was never a fan until I started to look for more unique pieces for our new house and now I'm a convert. I bought a painted chest for our entryway for $100!
I have a 4 foot round coffee table that I got for $40 and painted off craigslist.
My "side" tables - one is a set of robin's egg blue nesting tables from home goods, the other is a white distressed table that was orginally like $300 from a local boutique, and I got it in a divorce sale!
