No, not even if it was the best food in the world. Not exactly the image of women I want to ingrained in my girls. "look honey, you too, when you grow up, you can be a piece of meat in an ugly orange outfit".
More like "better get good grades sweetie, or this is your future."

Lol But that can wait until they are 15. Not 2 and 5.

Honestly, I really don't even think what they wear is that scandalous. I wear worse at the pool, I wore close to as bad when I did ice skating competitions. *shrug*
But just the idea that putting the waitresses in a skimpy outfit to sell more booze and wings is gross to me. I don't want them to grow up thinking that you can get paid to show your body. Not the same as wearing skimpy outfits out and about by choice. It is gross when you ate doing it because it is your work uniform. I am on my phone, not sure if I am making sense. I am a fierce feminist.
The world is a crazy place. They're going to learn that sooner or later. Orange cameltoe and wings just aren't that big of a deal to me. I can teach them about the serious stuff whether we go to Hooters or not.
FTR, I don't even like the place. But if we were starving and it was the only place available, well...

I'm obviously on the same page as Papie. I would be embarrassed to take my girls there. No way.

I get that, but then I'd have to boycott all booze, all cars, and most products lol. Most do that.
It's a sad state of the world, but it's everywhere. I think I'm more laid back because we live in a beach town so it really is everywhere. I get that POV, I just think its odd when people target Hooters and Hooters only

We need Kuus' high heels debate here. She might not agree with you here :-)
Wing House, which also like Hooters started here, is one I will not take my kids to. They have similar outfits however They train the girls to act a certain way and they specifically try TI get in a creepy male crowd. To me its more about intent and actions than outfits.
Hooters on the other hand bills itself as a family friendly sports bar. I don't like their food, but I would go.
Gypsy, I agree but I see it as a completely different thing when it is your job. I would have no problem taking them to a European beach to see boobs. Because those women are not paid to show their boobs. Also I grew up surrounded by trashy Greek culture, movies with boobs all over and all that. And I thought it was normal to dress like that. At 15 my goal was to show as much ass as humanely possible without getting arrested (when my parents were not around obviously). I don't want my girls to be like that. I want to die thinking back.
Papie: what about movies and tv shows? Women are paid to look good. Do you feel the same about that?
Letsgetweird: it's just normal down here. They are paid to wear more than a bathing suit. It's not a big deal and it is considered a restraunt like chilis or Applebee's....with even worse food lol. But I get that it is a bigger deal other places. My inlaws consider it near porn.
Oh and I have to add that I don't even think there is a hooters here. I went once with work colleagues in Edmonton, the guys were dying to check it out because they had never been.
Ok you just said paid to show their boobs. Women on normal tv shows are paid to show as much boob (aka a bit of cleavage line) all the time. Hence my question. I didn't know of you would not allow any prime time tv either. But I realize they are young now so it's not an issue
For the record, dd hasn't been to a hooter either. I just find the debate so interesting.
Habs, you really don't get why I wouldn't want my girls to go to a restaurant called Hooters? I hate the message it sends. I feel that it's reasonable for me, as a parent, to not want my kids exposed to it. I don't think it's so odd.

We are obviously depriving our poor girls from that wonderful experience. :::eye roll:::
