I would have a glass of wine or a cocktail in front of them, sure. I don't see anything wrong with that. Would I get drunk? Of course not but then I haven't gotten drunk in years anyway.
Ditto Becca on not drinking when I'm the primary caregiver. Since DH works nights and weekends I don't drink very often. Maybe two or three times a year.
My almost 2yo calls anything in a wine glass "mama juice."
Does that answer your question?
Haha, my SS used to call Coors Light "daddy's pop."
Yes we do, but we don't get drunk when he's here. Occasionally one of us will imbibe more after he's asleep, but one of us is always sober in the event we had to drive him to the hospital or something.

I have but it's not something that happens often at all.
DH doesn't drink at all (has been sober for almost 10 years) and I rarely drink ... if I do it's just a glass or two of wine, or a fun drink --- my kids are usually running around playing (if it's at a bbq or something) and don't notice or ask what i'm drinking- and I never get drunk around them (or much at all these days- it's not worth having a hangover when you have 3 little ones to deal with the next day).
Yes, my kids have little impact on my drinking except I know I can't before 3pm because I pick them up from school. (Not including pg of course). I am not getting drunk but I wouldn't anyway. Otherwise if I feel like drinking a beer or whatever, I do.
Drink in front of son? Of course. It's because of him that I drink.
JK. I don't have a problem modeling sensible adult behavior. Besides, he's a teenager, if I waited until he was in bed I'd die of thirst. He often fetches me a refill if I'm sitting. He mixes a crappy cocktail.
