I've been up (not awake, UP) since 5:30. WTF is wrong with me??
Anyhow, the weekend was good. Not too busy, but spent time with people we hadn't seen in a long time. Had some good drinks. Saw some baseball, including a grand slam. Had some interesting conversations. Kicked Brad's butt in bowling. Wore a cute dress. REALLY kicked Brad's butt in that dance game. What's not to like?
Mine was good. Bought some furniture, went to the beach, did a lot of relaxing. My mom pulled some of her usual antics yesterday, which I'm stewing about. I'll post more on that later.
We went out for dinner, drinks and a movie on Friday. It's been forever since we did that so it was fun to actually have a "date".
Saturday, we had people over to my parents' to grill and use the pool. Sunday and Monday were lounging around the house.
I had some really good rides with my horse on Saturday and Monday. He's doing so incredibly well at the new barn and the fact that it's made it possible for me to work him consistently is making his arthiritis a lot less painful. He's the most sound I've felt him in probably close to a year. I'm thrilled.

My weekend was boring and uneventful. I went to my sisters house on Saturday and did all the prep work for my nieces birthday party and made dinner while my bil slept all day because he just got back from China and is all screwed up. Sunday I made the cupcakes for my nieces birthday and then we went to dinner for her birthday at which point I decided to drive back home because I A)wasn't enjoying my stay and B) my mom had arrived so I didn't want to deal with her so i drove home. I got home at 11 on Sunday night at which point the fi and I just drank then went to bed. I am annoyed because my sister totally took advantage of the fact that I was visiting, I told her I would make the cupcakes for my nieces party but somehow that turned into all the prep work with favors and everything.
PPD, you are sucha sweet sister. You can try to deny it, but you will fail. If that had been me, I would've said, "Sure I'll help you. Give me your credit card."

Mine was nice. I came back from a business trip Friday night so the weekend was nice and laid back. I was out at Target Sunday morning and had the realization that Baby Fuss is finally more of a companion than an encumberance when I'm out and about. He helped me drive all the way to Target by announcing the color status of every traffic light along the way.
Later Sunday I had a three-hour lunch with an old friend, giving her pregnancy and work leave advice even though she is married to the world's biggest assface and I hate her H and having a kid with him would be the worst possible mistake anyone in the whole world could make. I just don't want her to end up over the financial barrel too I guess.
Monday we went to a local science museum. My favorite exhibit there is the penguins, which were declared "geese" by Baby Fuss.
Also Baby Fuss is obsessed with babies. I think he might have baby fever.
It was good, too busy, but overall good! I worked Sat/Sun at the store, and we were swamped, so the days went by quickly. Yesterday we went out to my parents' camp to hang out with them for a while. It was their first full weekend out there, so they were all excited to show us around. We did some kayaking, swimming and just playing on the beach with E, who loved going in the kayaks with Mr. Bang and my dad.
I gave E the first taste of 123 Magic. We got to 2 and he stopped. I won't delude myself into thinking it will always be that easy, but overall he was pretty good this weekend and we are seeing a HUGE difference between when we set really firm, calm boundaries and consequences and when we don't.
On Friday night E ate about 2/3 of his dinner and stalled out, said he was full, and asked for dessert (lol). Mr. Bang told him his options: finish dinner and get dessert, or do not finish dinner and do not get dessert. E made a face, wandered off to play, and didn't ask for dessert again.
I also noticed that E has been better behaved and more responsive to us during this really long stretch of being mostly with dad (he was with mom 2 nights of the last 2.5 weeks).
Other than my drama with my significant other (lol) it was a pretty damn good weekend for me. Hung out at the pool with friends, grilling with my folks, and enjoyed the extra day (although I forgot to turn of my alarm. DOH). Can't wait to take more advantage of this gorgeous weather!
I think he'd beg to differ! He likes to point out little babies and pictures of little babies he sees and says "Bee-bee!" And I say, "Yes, it's a little baby! It's much smaller than you, because you are growing up into a big boy!" And then he points to his chest and smiles at me and says, "Bee-bee!"
Friday night I had wine on the patio with the neighbors.
Saturday I spent the day at the pool and then went over to cook dinner for the new guy I'm seeing. Dinner came out so good and he was so very appreciative of it that it made me like him more. Always a good thing.
Sunday was another pool day and then I met the new guy for another date.
Monday I continued my trend of sitting my butt at the pool and then Monday night cooked out with my neighbors.
Yay, Interro! I'm glad the changes have been so effective.
My weekend was great. Actually slept past 7:30! Walked around in the sun! bf is back for 3 weeks! Now officially in the overweight BMI range instead of obese - yayy!
