Apple products are pretty easy to use, but god forbid you have a problem--their customer service is so insanely hard to even find a number in the first place.
I hate Apple too. It took me like half an hour to change the default shipping address on my Mac account. Their website is f@#ked up, and the customer service sucks.

I'm breathing again, lol. My cheeks are red and burning like I've been slapped but I've calmed down.
I'm going to DD this in a few (no need to keep my meltdown up here lol).
I think I'll have DH try again tomorrow or Monday and if that doesn't work, then the worst case scenario is we are out the $20 from the credit card. I have changed our settings (got rid of the C/C on file) so we should not have this problem again.
I just can't believe how craptastic their customer service (phone) line was.
If our Apple store wasn't always insanely busy, I would consider that an option. But it's a good 30 minutes away and anytime I have ever gone in there (or even passed it) it's always very busy.

You can make an appointment.
Yep. Call the store, press the appropriate buttons. It should tell you what caller you are and everything, and then you can make an appointment to be helped in the store. Walk in at your appointment time and no lines at all! I found them actually really pleasant to deal with (at the store - no experience with calling corporate/the general customer service line).
This post makes me glad I turned down the HR job for their local call center. It's the closest business to my house and seemed decent, but if the employees are that incapable, it wouldn't be my kind of place. Wish I had their number. I'd give it to you.
The store is the way to go. I have found the customer service at the stores impeccable. Twice (two different devices) they gave me new products when they could not fix my issue on the spot.

Hm. I've had Apple products for 10+ years and have always had amazing customer service with them. Though, we almost always make an appointment at the store.
This is really surprising to me, too! I have never had a customer service problem with Apple. I have been using their products since 1989... actually on hold with customer service now (they are investigating my problem, I had no hold to speak to a rep) and they are being so helpful. One of the reasons I am willing to pay more for their products. I would be beyond livid if I felt like I was getting shitty service for all that money.
I never call customer support directly, I fill out their form to have customer service call me, which may help. www.apple.com/support/

I hope you get better service in store.
I've never had a problem with them either, they even gave me a full refund/exchange for a computer 18 days after I bought it because a new line had come out (14 days is their deadline for full refunds). This was even over the phone.

I'm surprised so many have had good apple customer service experiences. I consider most apple geniuses to be condescending bastards. The ones closest to me are worse and known as pretentious useless fuckers.
And yes make an appointment, it's the only way to get in. But be prepared to wait a good while when you show up for your appointment.
omg. I hope you're calmed down by now. The best way to talk to Apple on the phone is to start the customer service process online and they'll call you.

I just saw this update. But I still have no idea what problem you're having. lol.
And if you go to a store, don't just walk in - make an appointment online first. But (as best what I can tell, anyway) it sounds like you're having an iTunes problem, not a hardware problem, so you shouldn't need to go into a store.
ETA: I just realized you already DDed the original. This is such a weird post.
