How badly does the laser hurt? I have coarse hair if that mattters. I could see getting my bikini line done so at least I am somewhat under control lol.
Groupon keeps having laser deals.
It hurts a decent amount, but I'd take a few laser sessions over a lifetime of waxing hands down. It was totally worth the pain.
I would be wary of Groupon deals unless you're already a client of the spa. Not all lasers work on all skin/hair types so you want a consultation before going ahead in case the spa's lasers won't work for you. Also, some laser places are really sketchy.
I did 6 laser treatments on my armpits. Hurt like a bitch and ultimately didn't really work.
I would be pissed if I did that to my bush and didn't get results.
Underarms were actually more painful to me than bikini -- but the results were even more satisfying to me than bikini. That's a shame that it didn't work for you!
I'll be the lone dissenter, lol. My husband prefers it waxed so that's what I do.
You're in DC, right? Do you mind if I ask where you go? I went to Tammy at Polished in Georgetown, but it's hard to get to sometimes. Love her, but I'm looking for someone more convenient; I'm in Clarendon.
It's pearl clutching to have an issue with drinking at work? I would be fired, lol. I think we were pretty split on that and decided it totally depended on the type of environment you work in and what field.
... And I work in an environment where drinking during the work day at times is all but mandatory. But that's neither here nor there -- I would take the fact that the OP was okay with her decision as an indication that she worked in an environment that didn't merit all the OMG YOU'RE GOING TO GET FIRED responses.
Also, while this part was all moot anyway, all of the OMG IF YOU DRIVE IN THAT CONDITION YOU'RE GOING TO KILL SOMEONE AND GO TO JAIL AND STUFF responses were ridiculous. Unless she weighs like 50 pounds and this was her first time drinking alcohol, a splash of Bailey's in her morning coffee was not going to incapacitate her or put her anywhere near illegal BAC levels.
Seriously. Just last night I decided against shaving my legs because it would take a whole 5 minutes out of my evening. Shaving my entire nether regions? No. I tried it a few times and DH said he didn't like it anyways, so not worth my time.
Wow, 5 whole minutes. I'm now curious as to how big, exactly, are your nether regions?
Surely you are aware that shaving one's vulva takes more care than shaving legs?

Apparently a hell of a lot smaller than some of women around here who have to shave their ass or send out a search party.
I'm kind of baffled that women care so much about pubic hair trends. It's never occurred to me to actually give a shit.
i don't go over there but can figure out what the talk is about by this post --- and I can say, as someone about to turn 40, the anti-crotch hair phenomenon is a younger women thing... thanks to porn being so easily accessible to everyone - and shaved vag being very common in porn - I think the younger generation of women feel they NEED to be clean shaven down there- or their men will hate it.
When I was a teen nobody shaved it all off! Then as i got into my 20s it became the new fad... I still never did it- i thought it was odd and looked like a little girl, which thankfully, my boyfriend was not into. My husband also does not think a fully shaven bush is attractive.... but i'd be willing to bet more men in their 20s think it is.
Meh. I'm in my late 30s and.have been getting Brazilian waxes since my mid-20s. I wasn't even dating anyone when I first did it; I just wanted to know what all the hype was about.
I think vaginas are cool however they are groomed...I'm not digging in to them, so meh. For me, I have a landing strip because its what my husband prefers, guess its the pilot in him I figure the more he likes it, the more he will go to town down there, and I'm all about ensuring I get some head
