Somehow my quite NYE drinking alone by myself has turned into a small get together. I will need to get supplies today, but don't have any solid ideas yet. Please share your NYE menu for inspiration. Thanks!
We're having a taco bar, chips and queso, guacamole and fresh salsa, bacon wrapped and stuffed jalapeños, pork tamales, southwest salad squares, spicy chex mix, Mexican chocolate brownies, and sopapillas with different toppings.

It's only DH and I for NYE and we are attempting to make Thomas Keller's Butter Poached Lobster Mac and Cheese.
New Year's Day a group of friends and I are cooking dinner for about 60 people at a local DV shelter and we are doing a taco bar also, chips and salsa, a fresh salad, and brownies.

We're having a taco bar, too. Previous years I've made a ton of different types of fancier things, but decided a taco bar would be easy since we have a variety of food restrictions to deal with (2 vegans, 1 who can't eat tomatoes, etc.).
We're having chicken, beef and lentil options for filling. Tons of homemade salsas & guac with a lot of additional topping options. We're making plantains and tostones, stuffed jalapenos, popcorn with lime & chili, Mexican deviled eggs (these aren't authentic by any means), veggie and regular ceviche and pineapples dipped in chil-spiced chocolate w/ sea salt.
I like the brownie idea. I need to investigate that.
Cheese fondue with steamed broc spears, fresh baked pretzels, apples, and chorizo for dipping. Also probably a festive salad. We also have random TJ apps in the freezer & we might make a few of those.

I am making Martha Stewart's salmon cakes www.marthastewart.com/341219/salmon-cakes with roasted fingerling potatoes and asparagus. I might do Ina Garten's bread pudding for dessert.

All your menus look great...unfortunately it looks like we are going to have to cancel our get together. I've been dealing with projectile vomiting toddler for the past hour. Boo!
H picked up supplies for me to make a quiche because he is working late tomorrow night. I had planned a whole spread of finger foods until I saw his work schedule and that all changed.

I was going to cook, but last night DH and I walked past one of our fave restaurants, and we made a reso for NYE (if you are ever in NYC, Union Square Cafe is so satisfying). So lazy! But so good.
Main course - we do a late dinner ~10PM: Spiral ham with brown sugar glaze Angryharpy's macaroni and cheese (amazeballs!) Baked beans Pineapple casserole (perfect with ham)
Dessert: Brownies & cookies
Drinks: Frozen margaritas & daiquiris A shot in our liquor chiller called a Surf's Up (3 Olives Dude vodka, Kraken rum, Sprite) Beer Wine Champagne at midnight Soda Hard liquor + mixers
It's just us. I went to a lovely Polish deli to pick up good kielbasa for NYD kielbasa and sauerkraut. They had fresh pierogis, so we're doing that with onions and sour cream tomorrow night.

We were planning to visit three separate houses so I bought stuff to bring. A few minutes ago we said fuck it and decided to stay home by ourselves.
I bought a cheese and pepperoni tray and some chocolate chip cookies to bring, so we can eat that. I'll probably make pigs in a blanket and buffalo chicken dip, and we have champagne and leftover Oreo cake too. Growing up my family always had apps on NYE ... I never heard of full meals or black eyed peas until these boards.
