Quit my job and turned my side gig into a (more than) full-time business venture. It's been a wild ride for the past nearly three months, but I'm excited to see what the future holds.

I just looked at your website- may need to stop in there when we are in Nashville next weekend! Some of those flavors look SO good. Congrats on the business!

A lot less than I want to, for sure. I'm actually pretty disappointed with a few of my goals for 2012 (passing an exam, getting a new job/promotion, and losing weight).
Financially, we're better off than last year savings-wise; which is great.
I did ran a 5K. DH and I refi'd our house for lower monthly payment.
My h and I both got promotions and raises. We saved/invested about 40% of our income. We traveled about every two months. We both started working out and getting healthier.
- Got married - paid off my car - increased our networth to $100K (this was huge for us!) - I ran a great business and won "Best Place to Work" in the city for a small company - DH hit his sales goal for the year- in September - adopted a dog that was abused/borderline agressive and turned him into the biggest lovebug ever
Got a 2nd job to pay off almost $12K in CC debt, paid off the remaining ~$900 on my SL, and paid off ~$2500 on one of the car loans.
Convinced DH to contribute to the debt payoff. That alone was a ginormous victory because he preferred the head in the sand approach.
Started a savings account that pulls out automatically from my checking account every time I get paid. It's still small, but better than the nothing that I had last year.
Started running, and kept up with it. I started running in Jan, and my first race was a 10K in April. I've since run 3 5Ks and a half-marathon. I'm currently training for an April 28, 2013, marathon. I also lift weights and kickbox. Totally different from last year.

Gumi - I did not know you have a child with childhood apraxia of speech. How great that she's talking - that IS a huge accomplishment.
lol, now I feel kinda like I fibbed. She is "talking" moreso than talking. *I* can understand her. The rest of the world? Probably not. We just dont care about that yet ;D

Paid off my 2nd mortgage!!!! (15-year balloon at 8.5% - yikes!) Survived my first year as a working parent Nice raise/bonus and lots of recognition at work Joined a moms' club and made some new friends Saved a lot for retirement and general savings Lost all the baby weight

My company got bought out and I got a promotion. We continued to live debt-free except mortgage. I started crossfit and powerlifting. I kept one kid alive and well. I went through a rough patch with dh and came out of it happier and stronger together. I made new friends (thanks to crossfit). I continued to eat paleo and feel healthier than I have in years. I increased my income and our savings.
-Got a new job -Got a step increase for performance -Contributed to DH's retirement while he worked as a contractor -Took out first real vacation since our honeymoon -DH lost 50 lbs! (Only 5 for me... I blame stress eating from old job) -Successfully made a cake for a rehearsal dinner for our friends -Met local MMers!
Overall, it has been a hard year for us with DH's migraines still not well controlled and affecting our finances. 2013 will be better. Hoping for better health for us both, more savings, and getting pregnant.
