MM or otherwise? Since everyone is talking about new years resolutions/goals, I thought it would be fun to list a few things we accomplished this year.
Mine-
I passed state boards at the beginning of the year.
I kept three kids alive, healthy, and (relatively) happy.
I overcame a broken ankle in March, proceeded to lose 20ish pounds, and complete my first 5k.
I got a lot of recognition and 50% more hours at work. Both DH and I managed to stay pretty healthy which hadn't been true the previous few years. We got pregnant.

I started running in February. I ran a 5k in April, a 5 mile race in September and a 10k in December.
Hit and maintained my goal weight.
My kids are healthy and happy.
H is finally finding some work/ life balance.
I have a closet full of clothes that fit and something for almost any occasion. I could use some more pieces, but I have really updated my wardrobe since losing weight.
Both DH and I decreased BF% and increased our workouts together, huge plus!! More time with DH, see above! Huge overhaul to our diets, which sucked in the beginning, but really worth it and finally seeing the results after a year. Got a new puppy, which I had wanted
Transferred to a new school that is three miles from my house. I really miss my old school, but I'm still having a great year. Finished my third half ironman with a pr of 42 minutes!!bought a new bike with cash!!
I became a resident of Canada after two years of endless paperwork, money, and waiting. I landed a great job. We easily saved our first goal for our efund.
I feel like I'm finally really comfortable and confident in myself.
-Had DD -Sold our condo and bought a single family home, and managed to get a monthly payment lower than our condo because of low interest rates, equity from the condo and money down -Paid cash for a new (to us) car. Love no car payment!
I ran almost 900 miles (just 4 more to go tomorrow to make 900!). I hiked to the top of a mountain that I've been wanting to hike for 2 years now. We made some good financial decisions including refinancing our mortgage and beefing up our savings. I spoiled my elderly, disabled dog, keeping him alive and as healthy, pain free and happy as possible (this was the hardest challenge this year, I think).
- We purchased DH and brand new car. I know this isn't very MM, but DH passed his CPA exams this year and wanted to celebrate with a new car. He loves mustangs and we realize this will be his one and only brand new car in his lifetime.
(Warning-i'm in a very introspective mood) This is the first year in a long time I haven't done something major/life changing like moving, graduating, getting married, etc.
I scaled back my business, but i don't know if it was for the better (i am really enjoying being more relaxed, having more free tome and less stress) or worse (i'm sad our debt payback slowed a bit, and i don't like having less $$ for fun). I joined a wine and a running group and have finally made some local friends. But overall I feel a little lost. I thrive on accomplishment, and I don't know what to aim for next.

I've made it through half of two deployments this year, bought a house while H was gone and he loves it. Helped my son develop into the super awesome little man that he is now. Got a job and went back to work full time during this deployment. Handled my moms illness with very little freaking out (so far.) Met a lot of really amazing new people that have become very important in my life, and I am so thankful for their friendships.
This has been a super rough year for my family, but we have had so much good happen this year too, that I am trying to just be thankful for that.
I got a big raise and started TTC. Oh, and I was asked to write my grandma's eulogy, which was kind of an honor. And a fitness blog site told me I'm going to be a featured blogger next month. Which is sort of ironic, given how much weight I've gained this month.
Also, we have a bunch of kick ass ladies on this board.
Thank you. Between saying goodbye to my parents today (they were visiting for the holiday, and left this am), my fil's health (he was diagnosed with ALS at thanksgiving and has declined rapidly--dh is having a very rough time with this), and having another dud cycle TTC, I've been a hot mess today. I know some days are just like that, but damn, it's hard to keep my head up. Tomorrow will be better.
Seriously though, we really do have some kick ass ladies on this board!!!
Graduated summa cum laude Only student in my class to win the departmental award for two departments (I double majored). Got 3/3 grad school acceptances (woooot!) My name was on a poster at the ASHA convention (national convention for SLPs and Audiologists) for research I did
It's all exciting but I feel like I peaked in college, lol.
I ran three half marathons, 13 5Ks, 3 10Ks and 2 obstacle course runs. Got the bean into transitional kindergarten and didn't freak out about it. Paid off both cars. Started touring schools with the teen. Celebrated 7 years of marriage with the hub.
