-An amazing all-expenses paid cruise on the Mediterranean -Meeting Jared Padalecki on my way to said cruise -An amazing all-expenses paid cruise to Bermuda -...and the byproduct of said cruise... getting word that The Triplets was on it's way -And my project and corresponding blog continue to be a source of joy for me
So... what about you? What were the highlights of 2012 for you?
1) Getting a huge promotion and moving to a new department 2) Finding a new apartment 3) Moving my horse to a new barn where I can ride consistently (and improving his health a lot)

This post is really making me miss horseback riding. I started riding when I was 3, but haven't done it in 13 years. This is going on my 2013 bucket list. I will go riding at least once before the year is over!!
getting a new boss who isn't batshit crazy (yayayay) finding my confidence and becoming a really good manager finishing a half marathon and earning my Tiffany necklace Great new friends Having the motivation to get healthy - run, workout, bike Watching my husband kill his triathlons.
1) The birth of our beautiful daughter was definitely the highlight of the year.
2) Helping to foster, home and transport a bunch of really sweet dogs has been very rewarding. I'm so grateful H not only puts up with it, but is such a great help with them too.
3) My part in helping to secure a few really cool projects for our company. My role is very minor, but still vital and I know I am valued there.
4) Celebrating our first year of marriage. H and I have something really awesome, and I feel so lucky every single day.
Looking at it objectively, 2012 was a tough year for me, but looking back at it, I don't FEEL that it was. There were highs in there of course (getting engaged, adopting Flapjack, getting my IT certification), so I'll just dwell on those.
Horse people aren't people who ride/own/enjoy horses (because I love horses! They're beautiful and you want to pet and love them all day). They're people who's entire lives revolve around the stable. They own all horse shit. Their hair usually looks like horse hair (super long, straight).
My stepaunt used to own her own stable. And while she's pretty freakin' cool and not a traditional "horse person", I was exposed to FAAAAAR too many of them. It's a weird little cult.

Took our first trip as a family to go see ILs and H's extended family in New Mexico in April.
Grew lots of great stuff in the garden this spring/summer.
Had a really fun 2nd birthday party for Baby Fuss in July.
Had a great visit from ILs in August.
In preparation for said visit, I sewed a pair of rod-pocket curtains for the hall bath. It seems minor but it is really hard for me to find time/energy/space for projects like this.
Got an highest rating on my performance eval for the second year in a row. For some reason my boss thinks I'm working really hard lol.
Got KTFU with second and presumably last kid. Seeing Baby Fuss so excited to becoming a big brother is awesome! He says he is going to help take care of the new baby by "being gentle."
I can't stop laughing at "their hair looks like horse hair." IDK why. imoan, do I have horse hair?!?!
My best parts of the year were: -traveling with Mr. Smock and also to visit friends/family -Mr. Smock FINALLY getting a job -taking up running which makes me feel stronger -feeling much more capable/confident at my job!
I like seeing all your happy memories. Smock, you need to get on that horse thing, seeing as you already have the hair for it.
For me, this year was pretty uneventful. I loved working at the garden and the new people I have met through it. Our trips to Thailand and Sonoma were also highlights.
This past year has been full of change Started off with H quitting his job with no real idea on the future he just had to get out or loose his mind. Pass a huge professional test for me. Only 30% pass. Took a surprise 30th bday trip for him to Puerto Rico, got a call when we arrived that H got offered a life changing job for us. Best way to spend a 30th birthday. Moved to a new place that is 60% bigger than our old one. We have a garage, I feel fancy. Went to NYC for work and had a blast. went to DC to visit BIL. Had an awesome time. Bought a bike. Ride more. lost 14lbs. gained 4 back over Christmas H started piloting lessons Go to Rome and rent a Vespa, travel with my parents and get to experience their first trip to Italy. H gets his pilots license and spend the last day of the year flying. It has been an amazing year.
