Because I know you're all just waiting on pins and needles.
R's favorite house - the one with the barn - went pending before our REA got his act together. We asked, but there were multiple offers, so unless we were willing to do something crazy, there was no chance. So unless it falls out of pending, we're SOL on that.
There are only four other houses in our price range currently on the market. So we'll be seeing those on Friday night or Saturday. If none of them float our boat, we'll be back in the waiting game.
I love the last exterior photo, and none of the houses look horrible. The last kitchen actually looks pretty nice, good appliances and the washer/dryer look decently new.

agreed, except for what in the HELL is going on with the...oven? it looks like a wall convection microwave installed in place of a full-sized oven.
OMG the road right off the porch step kills me. My old baby-sitter lived in a house just like that.
Is the interior picture with those great doors and transom stained glass from that house?
Are you ready for this? That's not a road ... it's a PARKING LOT. It's an old house that was "converted" into an office building. So there are like 8 parking spaces instead of a front yard. BUT the interior details mostly remain - like that transom, for example. Plus, the current owners never had it rezoned, so it's still zoned SFR, thus being sold as a house instead of an office building. Cracks me up, but it looks like a beautiful old house (albeit a lot of work and a possible money-pit).

The last house is our favorite interior, but the location SUCKS. It's right on a busy road, across from a senior park (not necessarily a bad thing) and within one mile of a planned Walmart. (ICK).
It looks to me like the kitchen once had a regular oven AND a wall oven. I mean, there's the wall double ovens, the gas cooktop, the built-in-microwave, and the random right-on-the-floor bucket (?!?) underneath what used to be the microwave.
Those houses are good J! I mean they need a bit of love but you're fully aware of that. I like things about all of them. That old house rocks. So did you get the parking lot too...you could make one hell of a patio out of that?

Yep, parking lot included. Which is good, because there's really no backyard to speak of. (Plenty of property, but it is rocky and STEEP). If we decide on that house, we'll probably tear out half the parking lot and put in grass for the dingus, a garden, and a patio area. Also probably a tallish fence, since it's the front yard.

Oh, and I'd like to point out in picture one ... through the sliding glass doors: that is indoor/outdoor carpet you see there - not grass. Every time I see it, I crack up a little.

they astroturfed part of their backyard?? wow.
And LOLing at the parking lot. Probably a money pit, but still tempting with the intact original details.
When we were house hunting my MIL told me the right house will work out for nobody else but you. She was right. The house that felt like home was under contract when we first saw it, but that fell through and a week later we put in an offer and got it. Be patient - the right house is out there!!

sssm - we are. We're cutting him some slack because the delay/issues were due to a sudden death in their family (his BIL), then truly inclement weather, then the Christmas holidays. If we lose another house due to him ... well, we'll have to reconsider at that time.

I feel your pain. We have seen everything there is to see, and are sitting and waiting for stuff to come on the market. Meanwhile, climbing the walls in our rental. The good news is it shouldn't be long before new stuff is listed.
