We're putting in our application to the agency in a little less than 2 months! It's starting to feel a lot more real, and I'm a little nervous, lol.
Today I found out that our agency has their waiting families' profiles on their website, so I perused them. Only one family (out of 7 waiting families and 2 families that are matched or placed), only one is open to Caucasian/AA children. None are open to fully AA. I'm kind of shocked! DH and I are open to any race, ethnicity, or mixture thereof.
We are also at least 5 years younger than all the other waiting parents - the youngest is 31, and the oldest is 48. We're both 26 (DH will be 27 shortly after we send in the application).
I'm starting to worry about "what if the agency doesn't accept us?" or "what if no birthmother picks us?". I should probably chill out a bit, lol.

Just to clarify, I'm not concerned about the age issue or anything in particular disqualifying us from the agency - just worrying in general because I'm an anxious person, lol.
It's normal to worry. But you'll be fine. When we went over profiles with our SW, she showed us a huge batch from people who'd been matched. We still jokingly call it the good, the bad, and the ugly, because some were really bad. But our SW just kept saying, "They were all picked." It calmed me down a bit
