If your LO has a cow's milk protein allergy, what type of milk did you move him/her to at 1? K and I are still breastfeeding mornings/nights but I stopped pumping and will soon be out of a freezer stash for daycare. At her one year, our pedi recommended moving her to formula (Nutramigen) since she couldn't have whole milk. I told the pedi that I'd prefer to move her to hemp milk and feed her soy and coconut milk yogurt (for added protein and fat). The pedi didn't really like that idea. I'd prefer not to give her formula. What are other mom's doing?
At her one year she was 20 lbs 8 oz (50th) and 30 in (75th).

We are using almond milk. But my LO still nurses 5 times a day, so she only gets a few oz/day. We mix it 50/50 with b.milk usually. We try to avoid a lot of soy since most of it is GMO and we don't want to give her the extra hormones.

We found that my DD wasn't allergic to items with some kind of processed milk, like yogurts and stuff. So we tried Lactaid just to see and she had no issues with it and is still drinking it at 2 1/2. Something about the processing of the Lactaid works for her. It also lasts a LOT longer than regular milk.
