I don't know if this is a vent or just a ramble. But up until last week or so I hadn't swam since late October. I've been exercising regularly - running, spinning, strength, classes, etc, but no swimming.
I had totally forgotten how ravenous I get when I swim. Like, I do a standard 2500yd workout and afterwards I could just eat my arm, I'm so hungry. And even if I do eat my standard lunch (1-2cups of veggies and 3-4oz of protein) I'm STILL hungry. Does this happen to anyone else, or is it just me? And WTH do I do to fill up/not be so hungry without ruining my good eating?

Swimming "runger" is way worse then the running form, IMO. After my half marathon, I could hardly eat 1/2 a banana until like 3 hours after the race. And I didn't really eat much of anything the rest of the day either.

I used to be a swimmer growing up. My family still makes fun of me for the way I ate after I would get out of the pool. Calling me a caveman err woman would have been putting it nicely

Yeah, keeping weight off during swimming season in college was not an issue! Those were the times when you could eat whatever and not gain weight.
