My 2.5 year old DS has gone from taking a 2-3 hour afternoon nap to suddenly not napping AT ALL. He'll happily look at books for two hours in his crib, but he's not napping. Still sleeps well at night .
Has your DC dropped napping all together? If so, what age did that happen?
Well she has napped the last 2 days in a row which is HIGHLY unusual. I think it is because of the mental and physical challenge of potty training which we have been doing since Thursday.
She really stopped napping on the regular a little after age 2. We maybe get a nap every other week. We do enforce quiet time daily and she sleeps 12-13 hours a night.
Edit to add that she has always been a horrible napper. Even as an infant it was rare that she napped more than 45 minutes, and she transitioned from 3 naps to 2 and from 2 to 1 on the early side as well.
my 3.5yo twins still nap most days. My almost 6yo still naps maybe once/week on the weekend, too.
all of my boys went through phases of not napping for a few days- but then back to it... sometimes i just had to sit in the room for a few minutes so they weren't playing- and they'd pass out.
DS1 hasn't napped since he was 2. From 2-4 years old he sat in the library area and looked at books at day care while everyone else napped. He is 5 now, and it has been at least a couple years since he napped, including when he is sick, up really late, super active, etc. He is just not a napper.
DS2 will be 3 in April. He still naps about 50% of the time.

DS1 is 3.5 and he will still nap at daycare but not at home. He hasn't had a nap since Christmas day, so I think he will drop them completely soon. He does ask to go to bed a little earlier on no-nap days and his night sleep is no longer disrupted on days he doesn't nap (all signs, to me, that he's ready to drop it:(
DD is 2.5 and is 90% done with naps. Occasionally she'll fall asleep in the car or on the couch, but it's pretty rare these days. We still have an enforced quiet time, where we watch movies or lay down with stories and cuddle. She starts "school" next week, so we'll see what that does to naps. She generally sleeps from 7:30 or 8 to 8 or 8:30 the next morning.

DD is 3 and has just recently started dropping naps. She asks for one, then just sings in her bed for an hour. This week, she slept a couple of times for like 45 mins, but that's it. She's always been a great sleeper, and napped daily for 1.5-2 hrs until last week.
DD stopped around age 2. When she started pre-school, the teachers were able to get her to nap again and it destroyed our evenings. If she slept even 15 minutes during the day, it pushed her whole bedtime back and made everything more difficult.
We are happiest as a family when she sleeps a solid 12-hour chunk at night and is awake for 12 hours straight during the day. That doesn't always happen if we're traveling and she falls asleeps in cars, planes or trains, but it's the status quo we try to maintain.
DD #1 stopped going down for naps at home right around her second birthday. She'd still fall asleep if we were in the car and would transfer to her bed, but even that stopped by 2 1/2.
DD #2 napped daily up until she was around 4 1/2. Or, at least, she went to her room for "quiet time" (mostly during the last 3-4 months before we gave up "napping"). Sometimes she napped, other times she played quietly in her room for 30 minutes.
The boys stopped taking daily naps somewhere between 18 months and 2 years. DS1 stopped because he genuinely didn't need the sleep anymore and DS2 stopped because he didn't want to take naps and I didn't feel like having the nap battle every day.
DS2 still takes a nap on occasion (usually on Monday afternoons after a busy weekend) but we pay for it later. He'll be wound up until like 8:30-9:00. Usually he goes to bed by 7:30 which I vastly prefer because then DH and I can get some time to ourselves.
DS napped until her was 4 and started afternoon preschool. He'd still nap occasionally on his days off until he was closer to 5. He was typically good for 2-3 hours. Naps never impacted his bedtime, but if he fell asleep in the car for even a minute, that took the place of a real nap.
My godchild gave up naps at 2 and was fine without them. My nieces were both closer to 3-ish.

DS is nearly 3, and he's been slowly giving up his nap over the past few months. Now, he will nap if he's in the car, but only rarely will he nap at home.
4.5 and we really only stopped because naps were causing her to stay up so late. I would say that she still naps about 1-2 times a week (she'll be 5 in 2 months).
I stopped at about age 3, but at home and at daycare, I was still required to get into bed for about 2 hours every day. At home I would rest and look at a book, etc. In daycare I would stare at the ceiling because we weren't allowed to bring anything with us to nap.
DS1 is 4.5 and doesn't nap at daycare anymore, but at home he still takes a 1-2 hour nap. DS2 is 2.5 and will nap for 2 hours every day...and he'll be a monster if he doesn't!
