tomorrow's our first day, I also hardly slept last night. My mind would not.shut.off. Uggh. Doing paperwork and packing her bag today so we'll be prepped and ready to go tomorrow. Ready to get the first day over with. It's like ripping off a bandaid!

Oh my goodness... I didn't realize there were so many of us. Should we start a support group? I went back two days after Christmas, but no one was in so I consider it a wash. Plus my mom had DD, so when she cried, I went to feed her (I work from home). Today is day one with the nanny.
I plan to pump three times. What about y'all? Did you block time on your calendar?
I will say that the anticipation was way worse than the reality. C smiled and giggled when I handed him to the DCP and seemed happy as a clam. They talked to us for a bit and I was able to tell them about his bottle issues and the fact that he's a catnapper and they seemed totally unfazed. I cried a little and she gave me a hug and said I was welcome to call 17 times today.
About to take my first pump break. It has been nice to have some adult interaction and the new people in my department are great. I am a little scared that he will be a wreck when I pick him up tonight but we'll see.

What are your bottle issues?
Also, I've handed S over to the daycare at the YMCA a handful of times and totally expected her to be a mess when I get her. She is as calm as can be every time I picked her up. C will do great, I'm sure.

He decided to start refusing the bottle this last week. Took it like a champ until Saturday, then refused for my mom. Wouldn't take one from H yesterday. I am kind of panicking that he'll starve but hopefully the DCPs will figure it out. If I have to cluster feed all night until he gets used to it, so be it.

He knows how to take it, and he will if he has to! Try not to worry too much!

Yeah, he did take a little bit from H, he was just angry about it. I know he won't starve!
I'm debating whether to call and check on him. If he's not doing well, it might be easier to not know and worry all afternoon.
So far so good here. People here are fairly introverted and GBCN is blocked are two negatives. Broke down and bought the app. DD is apparently having a nice day with daddy.
You won't regret it! It's how I keep my pumping time occupied
Brie - after 4 weeks of daycare there was only 1 day that they actually told me DD was cranky and it was the day she started with a cold. Every other day they tell me she is great...whether or not that's true, I have no idea. But in this case, I think ignorance is bliss!
C did so-so. He only took 1.5 oz of BM in 10 hours. BUT, he was happy and smiley at drop-off and pick-up and they sent home a smiley picture of him so clearly he wasn't too miserable.
They checked "sad/calm" for his mood today which makes me a little sad, but I guess it's better than the "sleepy/teary" one.
He pooped out of one of his CDs because they weren't fastened tight enough so I'll have to talk to them about that at some point.
I pumped 13 oz. in 3 sessions and I feel pretty good about that. Pumping is kind of a PITA though.
Isn't it bizarre how people with great supply end up with babies who want it straight from the tap and those who struggle have babies that will drink indiscriminately. Must be biology or something.
He's always been an indiscriminate drinker until about a week ago. And suddenly he got picky.
