Everyone needs friends in the journey, right?
If you're game and want to be accountable (I'll make a weekly post), let's get it started with a poll.
1. What's your goal(s)? 2. What's your motivation? 3. What's your plan to meet your goal(s)? (optional) 4. If you'd like a "buddy" to keep you going, say so. I bet we can find partners for everyone who wants one - with similar goals, etc.

1. What's your goal(s)? I need to lose 30-ish more pounds. And I'd like to both run a half marathon and complete an Oly tri this year. 2. What's your motivation? We're planning on TTC this spring/summer. If I don't do these things now, I'll most likely regret it later. 3. What's your plan to meet your goal(s)? R and I are sticking with Sonoma because it's worked so well for us in the past, as regards eating. I've made plans for 5 days a week at the gym and pool - no excuses (or at least no lazy excuses. Obviously there are certain things that are excusable - illness, injury, etc.) 4. If you'd like a "buddy" to keep you going, say so. I'd love a buddy!
1. What's your goal(s)? - To lose some weight. I don't want to put a number on it because I just fail. And I don't know what my ultimate goal is. I know I need to lose 50 or maybe 60 pounds total
2. What's your motivation? To feel good in my own skin
3. What's your plan to meet your goal(s)? As soon as the baby is born and I am recovered, starting the couch to 5 k program again and eating smaller portions but not going on some whacky diet
(optional) 4. If you'd like a "buddy" to keep you going, say so. I bet we can find partners for everyone who wants one - with similar goals, etc.
Yes please....someone with a good amount of weight to lose, and who is just getting started back into working out.
1. To get more fit and healthy over all. Stay on the exercise train basically! Also to get my workout it in ASAP in the morning instead of naptime or bedtime. Also to move past the 5K gig in running. I've done a few and can run/wallk (a bit) no problem. It's time to step it up from there. I just stay there because it's easy.
2. I feel so much better when I get a form of exercise that's not the farm! Also, I look a 100xs better. Shallow I know. I'm okay with that.
1. What's your goal(s)?: Get back to my weight before before I started working at this @#&%$ institution! 2. What's your motivation? I looked awesome and was super active/fit. Plus I have a competition in less than 3 weeks and the clock is ticking. I'm in "decent" shape, but I have to get back to the next level. This ridiculous job has me working about 15-20 more hours than I would like to work and this has really impacted my time. The stress has really caused me to struggle as well. I've stuck to about 80% of my workout routines, but I gotta get tot the full 100%. 3. What's your plan to meet your goal(s)?: 30 minutes of elliptical cardio each morning (I do already) & PM strength workouts rotate with each part of the body throughout M-F for 30 mins at night. I'll be adding an additional 15-20 minutes of cardio at night as well, using my Turbo Fire DVD's. My main concern is eating/nutritional plan. I keep food at my desk and eat 5 small meals a day to keep my metabolism going. My problem is that I have to avoid the leftover holiday goodies back at my house when I go home after a crappy day. Hoping DH will let me trash it all so it's not there to taunt me..... (optional) 4. If you'd like a "buddy" to keep you going, say so. I bet we can find partners for everyone who wants one - with similar goals, etc. - Sure. Absolutely.
I have a HORRIBLE time sticking to these things after a while, my unexplained thyroid issues make weight loss difficult and my previous injuries make exercise painful so...yeah, here it goes!
1. What's your goal(s)? To feel happy about my body again. I'm not worried about a size or a number, but the best result would be that I want to feel comfortable walking in front of T with little to no clothes on and not wonder about my flabby center or the thunder thighs. So my issues are mostly mental with poor body image, but I do also need to tone up and lose weight.
2. What's your motivation? Well if you ladies can keep a secret (looks at the one person who's on my facebook ) We are planning a fall wedding and what bride doesn't want to look fabulous on her wedding day!
3. What's your plan to meet your goal(s)? I'm going to start packing my lunch at least 3 days a week and look into pilates classes to help with my back pain and strengthen my core.
(optional) 4. If you'd like a "buddy" to keep you going, say so. I bet we can find partners for everyone who wants one - with similar goals, etc. I'm always up for a buddy!
1. What's your goal(s)? This may sound super lame - but I don't have a specific weight goal. I just want to fit into size 4 jeans again. This probably means somewhere in the neighborhood of 15-20 lbs lighter, and hopefully a little firmer in the derriere
2. What's your motivation? Again, this may sound lame, and kind of cat-y, but I have to go on a bachelorette trip with a bunch of girls in the 23-25 year old age range. I don't want to look like the old biddy in the crew who serves as a walking warning about what will happen to their tiny little bodies after they have babies.
3. What's your plan to meet your goal(s)? Eat better breakfasts and stop eating out with people at work. Get serious about running again. None of this 1x every 2 weeks kind of garbage. I need to get back in the 3 runs per week club. Maybe I should buy a treadmill -that might make the exercise goal a little easier.
4. If you'd like a "buddy" to keep you going, say so. I bet we can find partners for everyone who wants one - with similar goals, etc
I'd love buddy who also wants to set an exercise goal.
1. What's your goal(s)? - To run 30 minutes straight. Lose baby weight, plus the 20 lbs extra I was carrying around at that point. 2. What's your motivation? - I want to start doing Ride and Tie events. Which requires trail running! 3. What's your plan to meet your goal(s)? - C25k once I pop out this kid. Plus tracking on MFP. 4. Buddy - sure!
