we offer every 3 hours but sometimes it takes him until 4 to really want it. Luke will not drink if he's not hungry- he is the ultimate bottle refuser.
L gets a bottle about every 3 hours but usually it ends up being longer, like 4 hours. If the 3 hour mark is comining up and it's nap time she will still go to sleep rather than giving her the bottle. She doesn't really ask for one like she did. I give her solids an hour after the bottle.
She's also in DC so they have her more on a schedule with the room and do snacks between meals (I don't at home). Most days she only drinks 2 bottles from when I drop her off around 7:30 and pick up around 5:30. She may be starting her 3rd one depending on how she is acting with them.
We usually do a bottle some time in the morning, one before morning nap, afternoon nap, then one at bed. So, I guess unless he is growth spurting and eating lots he probably does 4-6 a day? He takes 7 ounces each bottle, if that helps any.
ETA: he has solids three times a day. Not full meals each time but usually eggs and fruit for breakfast, mum mums/pita with hummus for lunch, and whatever we are eating for dinner.
Oh hey, to better answer your actual question, I don't make him eat ever 3 hours or so. I wait until he acts hungry then feed him. It just so happens to work out to about ever 3 or 4 hours.
S takes a bottle when he wakes up, before morning nap, before afternoon nap, and at bedtime. He also eats solids 3x a day with snacks. He STTN most nights now, but if he wakes up I will give him a bottle then also.
We are every 2-3 hours and that sometimes gets stretched to 3-4 hours. The more tired he is, the more he eats. If he's in a really playful mood he's too distracted to eat. He still nurses 2-4 times a night too. I feed him when he lets me know. He gets whiny. You could try that with J too.
Owen BFs every 2-4 hours. Through the day usually every 2.5-3.5, at night 3.5-4.5, though he's starting to drift towards the shorter end of things, which I think has to do with his lack of solids eating. H wants me to start feeding him more often in hopes to tank him up through the day. I am resistant to this.
I wait until he 'asks'. Its averaging about 4-4.5 hours. He only takes 6oz bottles. And we just upped his food to 3 times a day. Bfast, snack/lunch, and dinner. He takes about 4-5 bottles a day.
ETA: He also goes about 12 hours during the night with no feeding.

He nurses about 4 times a day, not at even intervals. He nurses in the morning, about 2 hours after that, then not again for another 5 hours. Next will be 3-4 hours from now and after that will be the bedtime nurse about 2-3 hours later.
Our 3rd session today I don't think he even got a letdown, he was on and off too much, so I'm not sure waiting longer helps all that much. Then again he had an egg, a pancake, about an oz of cheddar, and a veggie pouch for lunch so maybe he was too full
Every 3 hours pretty much. when sleep is going well (perhaps half the time?) she will go from 830 to 3/4am or so without a feed. When sleep is going poorly (all the time lately) she nurses maybe every 3 hours round the clock.
During the day she takes 3 bottles at daycare of 4oz. Some days she doesn't finish them.
She will go more hours if I purposefully feed her more solids close to milk time, enough to fill her up but I don't like to do this. I did it a couple of times on vacation because I needed to pump a bit of milk.

Lou gets a bottle every four hours during the day. I FF. He gets his first one as soon as he wakes up and then his last one at about 630ish before bedtime at 7ish.
I nurse roughly every four hours (and she gets a 5oz bottle instead when I'm at work). She's like clockwork - almost to the minute. Roughly every two hours in between during the day, she gets solids (breakfast lunch dinner). So a "normal" weekday looks like this: 6am: nurse, 8am: breakfast, 10am:bottle, 12pm:lunch, 2pm:bottle, 4pm:dinner, 6pm:nurse. She typically eats at least once in the MOTN, sometimes 2-3 times.

He eats about every 3-4 hours with two solids during the day. He usually will go a long stretch at night. I've noticed he is starting to go longer and longer between bottles.
I'd say I nurse her about every 2-3 hours during the day.. Usually she's up around 8:00 for the day, I nurse her. Then at about 10:30ish before she goes down for her morning nap I nurse her. At about 12:30 or so, usually about 1/2 hour after I feed her solids for lunch she nurses again. Then at about 2:30-3:00 when she wakes up from her nap she nurses and at about 4:30ish or so when DH comes to pick her up from work she'll nurse again. At 6:30 she get's solids for dinner and then at about 8:00 she nurses and then at 9:30 I nurse her before putting her in bed. Usually she comes 1-2 times at night, it depends when she comes for her first night feeding, if it's earlier she'll wake up 2 times otherwise only 1 time.
Ugh.. this makes me realize how many times she is nursing during the day yet.. it's a lot! 7-10 times depending on the day! Her biggest problem is she get's sidetracked easily during the day so that means she doesn't eat enough so she needs to eat more...
Someone mentioned in the BF poll that their baby still takes a bottle/boob every 3 hours. So does J, for the most part, when she's awake. She could probably go longer since she has little interest in sitting still and taking a bottle, but I generally try to feed her every 3 hours. Should I just wait until she "asks" for it? Maybe she'd actually be hungry enough to take the whole bottle before getting distracted then...
What's your baby doing these days?
eta: Sometimes she goes a little longer if she's been napping or if it's close to dinner time, but if she's awake, and it's been 3 hrs since the last bottle and it's not time for solids, I grab her and try to feed her.
He takes the boob every 2-3 hours when awake. I try to basically give him a good full feeding after he wakes up in the morning and after his 2 naps and then whenever he seems to want it, which makes for about every 2-3 hour feedings. Some of those are comfort feedings, and if I actually go into a darkened, quiet room and lay down with him (or do it after a nap in bed) I can get a good long feeding in.
