I need to get my 2nd-time-around preggo friends a gift and it's a tiny bit of a challenge because they theoretically already have some stuff from last time so I am looking for some ideas beyond baby clothes or books. I am wondering what your favorite baby/preggo item was from your shower, or something you got later. What was the most useful/prized possession? The caveat is that I am on a budget and would like to keep the gifts at $30 or less.

Hmmm my $20 sound machine has been a life saver with two kids. We didn't use one w/ H but we have to use it so that H doesn't wake D. But it's not an exciting gift I guess.
how old is their first baby? (since some items are newer trends) Practical: nosefrieda snot sucker, piyo piyo baby nail scissors Photoshoot stuff: month stickers, props I'll think of stuff that isn't as practical...
We got this as a shower gift and we love it. I EBF so we didn't use it for bottles except for when I pumped very rarely but we use it all the time now for his bowls, spoons and sippy cups. There's the "grass" which is the smaller one and then there's the "lawn" which is the bigger one.

Nosefrida is a good idea, she didn't have that the first time. First baby is 21 months, will be a little over 2 when baby #2 arrives - about 2 1/4

This etsy shop belongs to an old Bumpie. I just came across it so I can't speak on the quality but the teethers are cute and she was a nice mama. www.etsy.com/shop/sawyerbee
I second a nosefrida or comfynose. I just got my comfynose recently, and it's been a lifesaver. Sleep sack is always good. I couldn't live without mine
Her most favorite and thereforw mine.....bouncer chair. She would/still does nap in it. Plays in it. Can eat in it. Easy to transport. It was $25. I forget what exact one it is. Fisher Price jungle themed I think.
