I send a thank you card to anyone that sent/gave a gift to N that isn't immediate family. I've been using treat.com for all my thank you's since she has been born and it makes it so much easier! I make the card online, add pictures and it is mailed directly to the person. The website is owned by shutterfly so it is a perk of DH's job, but I think I'd use it even if I had to pay for the cards.
I'd never heard of this! It sounds great! I'm going to check it out, thanks for the rec.
ETA: Oh, I am going to go crazy on this site!! I just sent my first card and I bought a 12-card package! THANK YOU!! I feel like I should send you a TY card for telling me about it
Glad you like it! My favorite thing about it is that I never buy stamps anymore!
I have DS1 write thank yous for his Christmas Gifts. All family is out of state, so quite a few of his gifts are shipped here. My rule for him is that if the person didn't see him open it, he needs to write a thank you (at this stage usually still a drawing and just the words "thank you").
For our gifts - generally they are just from parents and siblings and we just say thank you on the phone But if we get a gift from someone else then we do send a thank you (again, if they werent there when we opened it)

I love this. How long does it normally take for them to mail them??? I've been trying to do handprint cards but C is unwilling.
