I rarely use the stroller and when I do, it's to hold the diaper bag (and whatever else I buy) while I wear the baby. Also, when I was first pregnant I went back and forth with buying an infant car seat and just going straight for the convertible because I didn't think I'd use it that often. Everyone told me I'd use the hell out of the infant seat, so I went ahead and bought one.
To this day (baby is 10 weeks old) I've used the infant seat like 6 times and the stroller maybe 3 or so. I also stupidly bought the universal connector so that my infant seat (chicco) would fit into my Britax stroller. I pretty much wasted $45 on the connector and $180 on my infant car seat. I hope once it's better weather outside I'll use the stroller.
I don't have an answer to your question at all. I am actually wondering the same thing. When can you put a baby into the normal part of the stroller?
My stroller got very little use. The snap n go got a bit more because it was summer. The stroller hardly ever even makes it to the trunk. Does your stroller recline? If it reclines pretty far, you can use it straight. I preferred the carrier, or else he fell asleep in the infant seat and I didn't want to move him. Now, we just don't do the things where we'd want a stroller. He's in a cart, walking on his own a bit, or just wants to be carried anyway.

We rarely used it until about 5-6 months when they could sit in the regular stroller seat. I luckily didn't waste my money on a bassinet, I would have even annoyed at myself.
The times we did take a stroller when the kids were tiny babies, we mainly used it as a carrying device for the diaper bag, etc. and as an emergency diaper changing location.
I wore both of my babies pretty much all the time until they were able to sit more by themselves. We have gotten a ton of use out of strollers as they got older, but I felt the me as you when they were young babies.
I started putting them in a regular stroller around 16 weeks. I had an aftermarket head support thingy like infant carseats have, that I used in the stroller, and I put it on a slight incline. They did fine by 16 weeks with that, for short periods of time, as long as the road wasn't too bumpy. I just had to keep an eye and make sure I reclined the seat all the way if they fell asleep. If your stroller has a five point harness, they don't need to be able to sit unassisted, in my experience.
I have a Britax B-Ready, and our regular stroller seat couldn't be used until 6 months. I'd check your manual. Before 6 months, I put him in his infant seat which clicked in.

We used the stroller and bassinet a lot because we used to live in a big city. Now we live in more of a suburban environment and even though we have sidewalks, we have used it maybe three times since he was 15M.
I have probably used our stroller 5 times. He was okay in it when he was teeny but now he wants out. He loves being worn so I just go that route most places now.
We only have a snap n' go for the carseat now, we don't even have a bigger stroller yet and I'm debating whether I should even buy one at all. (Or if I should just get an umbrella or cheapie stroller.)
I use ours all the time, took it to Kohls today since they don't have regular carts. Squirms doesn't like being worn. We haven't put her in the regular seat yet. She's usually asleep in the carseat so I just snap it into the adapter and go.

I usually wear DS so I don't use the stroller very often. I did use it some when he was tiny and my CS scar was bothered by my carriers. My stroller reclined, not flat but a lot, so I put him right in there as early as 3 weeks. Of course he hated the infant seat and screamed bloody murder in it so I got him out of it whenever I could.
we only use our stroller for walks. we have a BOB but put him in the regular part of the stroller by 12 weeks. it's earlier than the regulations, but we felt OK with it.

I almost never used the stroller with DS.
With DD, I only used the umbrella and that was during DS's loooooong phase of running away from me in public and kicking and screaming every time we had to leave somewhere. I needed both arms to grab and carry him, and I used my wrist and hips to push the stroller. Fun times.
We put DS in the (fully reclined, padded with a blanket) stroller without an infant seat the first week he was home, and walked around our cul de sac with him. As he got older, I found myself using the stroller more--but by then it was an umbrella stroller (5mo) or the jogger (9mo).
We rarely use strollers and hardly used them at all when our kids were little bitty since we mostly just wore them. We use a stroller now and then for big days out--the zoo, amusement parks, etc.--but not for normal daily activities. We don't have a bassinet attachment, and I am glad we didn't bother.
We use it at the zoo and at other random places. I would say 6 times a year. Dd is 2.5 and we've never used it much. I did use the snap n go when she was a newborn.

I almost never use my stroller. I know my DD is bigger now, but I've really rarely used it her whole life.
She started in a regular stroller as soon as she could sit up at 5 months.
I use the stroller at Disney World (we go a few times a year) and for long walks in the neighborhood (which are rare -- I hate walking for exercise and I usually let her walk for shorter/fun walks -- and have since she was toddling). That's it -- I never use a stroller at the mall or anything. I wore her when she was tiny, and since then I've let her walk.
I only have one, though, so using a stroller was never a safety requirement for me the way it is for my friends who have to wrestle two or three very young children from the parking lot into restaurants/stores.
We hasn't used our BOB much yet, mostly due to the snowy weather and the ease of wearing her for a walk on the snowy streets (bonus points for extra weight ='s more cardio work for me!). We had an adaptor for our Chicco car seat.
I think we'll use it a lot more in the spring when the weather gets better.
I used a reclined umbrella stroller once for a walk. He hated it. I skipped the infant seat and went straight to the convertible, so for me it's all baby wearing. We both absolutely love it.
We almost never used the stroller when DD was an infant. It was way easier to put her in the sling/Ergo, especially if a subway ride was involved. She also never rode in cars (making it pointless to have a snap & go or anything that accomodated a car seat).
We've already decided that if we end up staying in France long enough to have another baby here, we will skip owning a stroller at the beginning based on our experience with DD.
I use the stroller an average amount I would say. When she was a newborn I would always use the stroller. Now I still use it mostly when shopping or doing activities. DD thinks the regular cart is a jungle gym and likes to climb all over but she never fusses in her strolelr so if we are doing any shopping other than grocery we use it.
I uses our stroller (with the car seat attachment) all the time b/c DD hated to be worn. I think that's pretty rare though.
Same here. Neither baby could tolerate being worn. Even bringing out the Ergo made them burst into tears as babies.
Me too. DS loved the car seat attachment to the stroller, then the stroller itself when he was about 6 months old. He is okay being worn but he doesn't love it. We have an Ergo and he's a BIG BABY (26 lbs at 10mo). His whole upper body just hangs out the top of the Ergo. He's constantly grabbing my glasses, hair, sticking his hands in my mouth. I much prefer the stroller.
