I can't really participate because the area I need to organize, my attic, will take a loooot longer than a month. I'm in my attic tonight sorting out clothes to donate (thanks for the motivation peach). I know there has got to be a great way to use this space for storage other than just piling things on the floor, but I haven't figured it out yet. Here are some very bad pics using my laptop's Webcam:
I've search houzz and Google and haven't found much in the way of inspiration. The peak of the roof is about 6.5 feet tall. I like the closet against the back wall and the drawers along the side wall, so I'll probably keep that, but I'm trying to figure out how we can build out the rest. That space under the skylight is big, but other than stacking everything on the floor, I can't figure out how to use that space. Any ideas on any or all of it?
Oh, that's smart. But I'm not sure how useful it would be to us since not even that back closet rod is filled. I just don't seem to collect clothes the way a lot of people do. I'm merciless when it comes to carting things to Goodwill I think. Our problem is paperwork, sleeping bags, rafting equipment, ski gear, luggage, a giant mat cutter, etc. Things that aren't easy to stack/organize :/
Score 1 lurker outing for me Those look great. And I LOVE the hook idea, since I have things like my fall wreath just tossed on the floor in the back... Great way to use the flat wall space where I do have some. Looks like something I could do without much help from the hubby too, since he's about two years behind on projects.
