I can't fucking believe it. We were both CONVINCED it was a boy. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I'm having a girl.
As for the "important" (blah blah blahbity blah) stuff... the baby is textbook perfect. Her (still so weird to say "her". I'm used to "it") heart is perfect, organs are perfect, spine is perfect, limbs are perfect, brain is perfect... the u/s tech was impressed with how textbook my pregnancy is. She weighs one lb (which is exactly where she should be at this week) and I'm measuring at exactly 21w/5 day and still perfectly on target for a May 11th due date.
The first time someone said "congrats on your SON", it was WEIRD. "boy" is one thing. Son was totally different!
Congratulations!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WEIRD!
It was like the first time after we got married that I had to refer to H as "my husband" (we were in the airport in Rome and I had to tell a Customs guy that I was waiting "for my husband".). SOOOOOO ODD!

Haha, I'm going through this right now. Over Christmas he introduced me as his wife and I was like - wow that sounds weird.
The important question: Has Jay relented on the name Lorelai?
Also, how are McCartney and Joe doing?
Jay relented on the name awhile ago. I DO see where he's coming from. I don't want people think I'm naming my kid AFTER the show. It really is just the most beautiful name I've ever heard and it'll bum me out not to use it just because some people will think I'm naming her that BECAUSE of the show. I just don't want to be "that" person.
