Pork should still be on sale so- pulled pork or use the pork for a taco bar. If you wanted a little nicer you could do pork tenderloins. If you aren't over it turkey is still on sale here too. The pulled pork and the turkey go with the mac and cheese too so you could just add a salad and another veg.
I've done a pasta bar before too- pasta, meatballs, chicken, shrimp, red sauce, alfredo. Let people build their own add salad and bread.
Ditto token on the taco bar. Lasagne sounds like a lot of work at 35 weeks pregnant.
Otherwise, when we need easy meal-for-a-low-maintenance-crowd food, we do this: -Crockpot meatballs (these are super easy and always get rave reviews, despite the ingredient list sounding strange: package of frozen pre-cooked meatballs, 1 cup packed brown sugar, 1 can whole cranberry sauce, 1 bottle Heinz chili sauce (12 oz), 12 oz water, 1/2 jar of saurkraut...throw all in crockpot and heat) (I hate saurkraut but love these meatballs.) -fresh veggies and hummus/ dip -fresh fruit -rolls
Chili is a great idea. Make two kinds (mild & spicy, or beef & turkey, or beans & no beans) with a fixings bar (cheese, sour cream, chives, crackers, bacon). Sides can be cornbread and a big salad.
I was going to suggest taco bar or pulled pork too, so....ditto those. I didn't think of pasta bar but that's a good idea too, and some of the kids would probably eat plain noodles and maybe some meatballs.
