DD saw the pediatric ophthalmologist this morning. He didn't see anything to be concerned about - nothing behind or around the eye.
She's got a prominent vessel of the eye, so her eye will likely always look a little red, and said when she's a teenager if she's concerned about it for photos and such, she can use Visine. The vessel extends into her eyelids, which is why their is a patchwork of red veins there which are very visible and she has a blue tint to the lids.
There is a special place for anyone who can dilate and examine an irate 6 month old's eyes. The doctor was really great and also commented that there was clearly nothing wrong with her lungs, lol.
