So, right now R and I are doing the most restrictive part of our normal eating plan. Until 01/11 no sugar. At all. This includes alcohol sugar.
Tonight's dinner recipe (fish stew in the crock pot) uses 1/2 a cup of dry white wine. I have dry white wine (I keep a bottle of 2BC Chardonnay for just this purpose) but I don't want it to go to waste since we can't actually drink the rest of the bottle and tomorrow's recipe doesn't call for wine.
Should I substitute chicken broth? Just suck it up and possible waste the rest of the bottle? Something else? WWYD?
Hang in there - I've cut out sugar before too and you know it gets so much better after the first 4-5 days. Toss the wine for now, it won't be any better next weekend if it's already opened.

We do this restriction/reset about every 2-3 months - or whenever we find ourselves getting out of hand, food-wise. TBH, though - it sucks and I'm sure had a great deal to do with "plategate" last night - especially since AF came to visit and ALL I've wanted for 3 days now is a Riesen. LOL
You all are right. Avoid temptation. Keep the 2bc safely sealed. Chicken broth it is.
