Me too! And I had a huge bowl of vegetable stew that was only 210 calories for lunch. I was so proud, but now I'm just hungry.
Here, let's put our heads together and dream of Antonio's vodka sauce pizza.....
Mmmmm stop it! I'm not eating anything bad OR drinking alcohol until my fancy anniversary dinner. Which, thankfully, is soon- Jan 17th. But it feels so faaaarrrrrr.

I'm hungry too, not because of dieting but because I never had lunch!
I am trying to eat healthier though, as over the holidays I ate so much crap it was ridiculous. Yesterday I passed some leftover chocolate cake from something at work and I DIDN'T HAVE ANY! This sort of willpower has not reared its head since the baby was born.
I agree on the fruits and vegetables, filling for less calories. Though of course when you're dying for a bagel or a basket of fries and a cold beer, a plate of steamed brocolli isn't very comforting.. sigh.
OMG I totally feel you on the 7 less points!! I just stopped breastfeeding a couple weeks ago and I was like ohhh fuck I lost another 7 points! I think I was more upset about that part... (jk )
Trudy, congrats for joining! I always find the first couple of weeks to totally suck because you can't just do whatever you want anymore . The upside is that the program becomes so much like second nature after a while that you don't even really notice on a day to day basis. Good luck!!

I'm starving today too! I should have planned dinner so I would have something to look forward to - why oh why did I give up back in the beginning of September!
I'm with you!!! My supply has dipped pretty drastically though so I think I need to eat more.
I have a feeling mine will too which is why I started her on a 3rd solids meal today. I obviously want to still breastfeed, but I really also need to get my ass in gear (literally) because I'm pretty miserable about the way I look. So, hopefully it will all balance out.

I'm with you, Trudy! I've been half ass dieting for months now. As of these past few days I'm taking it super seriously. I realize that my supply might take a hit. And if that means supplementing with formula, I'm okay with it because I do plan to wean in the next few months anyway. But, I'm super unhappy with the way look too and I need to reclaim my body a little bit. On a positive note it does get easier (right???). We can do this!

I lost 200 cals going back to logging now that he's older, but adding workout calories back in makes it suck less. I'm also amazed by how many vegetables I can eat for next to no cals. It helps I love cucumbers and they're like 35 cals a piece after peeling. Or raw green beans, yum.
Wildcat, I'm going grocery shopping this weekend and that's a great idea to stock up on lots of raw veggies to much on. Any other low cal snack ideas? Please share!

me too! I know I need to lose this weight so if my supply takes a hit oh well. I tried in the summer and it did but I wasn't ready for that so I quit.
good idea! I need snack ideas. I've been trying to drink hot chocolate after dinner to get in a milk serving (make with milk and chocolate syrup) but I keep putting on a lot of whipped cream.
I started WW on Sunday, already had 1 binge and suck at it.
Jaim it's so hard isn't it?? I totally hear you on that. My goal is our trip in March and I really want to stick to my diet this time to feel good and wear my old clothes. But it's just so easy to eat whatever. Sigh.
My goal is to like the way I look by his birthday because I'm getting 1 year pro pics and I'm sure we will be in some. And just in photos at his bday- if I'm not posing (aka sucking it in, turning to the side, etc) I don't want to hate the pics people take

Celery with salsa is a weird combo my mom likes and I always thought sounded gross, but it actually isn't bad. I love frozen grapes, especially in the summer - I think one cup is 60 cals? I buy the 100 calorie bags of popcorn, but I think next time I'm going to buy plain kernels and try popping them in a paper bag a la Pinterest. Green pepper and hummus is one of my favorites and I've been snacking on pea pods a lot this week (had leftovers from stir fry). Rice cakes with hummus aren't bad in a pinch. Those are my lowest cal snacks for the days I don't have much leftover. Normally I also eat a lot of almonds, cheddar, bars, and nut butters.
Those are great ideas! I love popcorn but have been eating an entire bag myself easily. I should pick up some 100 cal bags for portion control. The frozen grapes instead of ice cream would be a good swap too. The ricotta dessert sounds amazing! Let me know how it turns out if you make it.
ETA: I just re-read and it looks like you have made the ricotta dessert before. I guess it's pretty good if you're making it again? Maybe I'll make some this weekend. Yum.

Frozen greek yogurt is an option to replace ice cream, because it's creamier and has so much protein, not a lot of calories either. String cheese is a quick snack that's okay. I love tri colored bell peppers, carrots, celery sticks, cherry tomatoes. All those are good with hummus too. I have a good recipe somewhere for muffins that have zucchini and carrots, substituted with applesauce and half sugar to cut calories that are great for breakfast. I'll post when I get home. Frozen chopped peaches rock too.
1 pt smoothie that will make you swear you're drinking a vanilla shake:
1 very ripe banana About 1/2 frozen mango chunks A dash of cinnamon A dash of vanilla 1/2 milk Water as needed to reach the right consistency.
It is crazy how good this shake is. Sometimes (well.. Most of the time) I use 1c milk and double the mango to make a massive amount for 3pts... Seriously, you get two and half BIG glasses. It's such a delicious snack if you're starving and really want more of a meal.

Ooooh yeah, last summer I would add a a sprinkle of mini chocolate chips to cherry Chobani and freeze it, it was like poor man's Cherry Garcia.
