We stay at a resort in the summer that has one of those slides. I would not risk it. You can get going down the slide pretty fast and most people slam into the end of it to stop. That would not be a good idea when pregnant. If you are showing the people working the slide would most likely stop you from going up.
Bethel is a really nice venue too. I went there a few summers ago. Never went to Watkins because it was my cousin's wedding but I've driven by there a few times. It's right near wine country if you want to make a vacation out of it. I take it you're not in driving distance of any of these though so that sucks. Hopefully you'll see something nearby in the summer or fall.
[quote author=carmensandiego board=mmmoms thread=115092 post=1919634 time=1357252580 moe is one of those bands I feel like I would love if I ever gave them a listen. I have been meaning to look into them for... I don't know, years now. Any recommendations to look for on Spotify to begin with? [/quote]
I don't do spotify but any of the NYE shows on archive would be worth a listen.

Lol. I hear you going to phish or moe with no drinking or... Whatever. :-) I always really loved seeing the pregnant couples and those with little ones (provided they were being responsible... I have stories on BOTH sides of that). No words of advice, just, I feel you, and know (if you don't already; it's such a family of folks anyhow) that you've got support.
The families H and I have seen give me hope that it can be done, and kids don't have to grow up in some weird sterile bubble, kwim?
All I wanted to do last pregnancy was go to a water park and go to the giant hot tub at the mineral springs... it's mostly just a case of wanting what I can't have. I get it (but I did neither thing while pg).

LOL.
I have never brought my daughter to Phish. I have considered bringing the baby this summer if I really needed to, but I think I would even prefer to pump in the bathroom between sets (for comfort/supply) and leave him or her at home with DH and a bottle than to bring a child into that environment. I know it can be done responsibly and I bet I will bring my kids when they are both older (like 5+) but as babies, I would worry about them breathing in all the... whatever.

Ha! I never even thought about pumping in some of those facilities... Shudder. Lol.

Ha! Luckily the venue closest to me that Phish USUALLY plays at is very new and has nice restrooms. But yeah, still. And they chose a shadier venue in my hometown in 2012 so you never know. :-|
