Got an email from one of my co-workers. Our main office's receptionist was diagnosed Stage IV lung cancer right at Christmas. Prognosis isn't great. I'm so sad about this...
F cancer right in the face. My grandmother died 12/27/97 from complications resulting from a dual mastectomy. She would have been 71 this year, she was too fucking young to die and there is no proof that she would have died had she not gotten the surgery.
Cancer totally sucks. My dad has surgery scheduled for the 9th to remove 1/2 of his kidney in hopes that they can get the whole tumor. We have to wait for testing to determine what will be done after that. We are all scared.
I hear ya. It sucks a lot. I took care of my grammy when she was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer and it was rough. My mom died of a preventable cancer...if she had only gotten a screening done. Best wishes to all of you dealing with it right now.
I'm right there with you on the eff cancer though. My dad lost his battle with prostate cancer on November 5th. It's a horrifying disease and the way it ravages the body... I've never been through anything more devastating than watching my dad go from strong and vibrant to weak and frail.
