We are going from charlotte, nc to Jacksonville, fl for a wedding on June 1st. We are wanting to make a couple stops for about an hour just to give Pey a break from the car all day long.
We're thinking of stopping in Columbia, sc and savannah, ga. Any probies near those places?? And any probies in or around Jacksonville?
Do you still have family in Sacramento and, more importantly, do you ever visit there?
Yeah some! And I usually visit once a year for July 4th. I've only skipped my visit once in the 7 years I've been here. My brother works or the airlines so I fly free and Wes flies really cheap. But lodging alone breaks the bank. The family I do have there won't/can't accommodate a baby visitor. :/ so were not sure if we will be able to wing it this year.
Ps I wish I were closer with my uncle who lives in Portland so I had a reason to stalk you. Hahaha. I also have family in Yakima I could use as an excuse to get close to you though!! Haha.
I'm smack dab right between Sav and Jax!! Both are great places. I was actually married in savannah at Forsyth Park. You have to go to River Street in savannah. By day it's family friendly, but by night it's party central. So beware. River Street is a river front area that has lots of shops and restaurants. My explanation isn't doing it justice, so google it. Their are tons of tours to go on. We did a horse drawn carriage once. Jacksonville is fun too. There's the beach, the Landing (it's in downtown-- shops, restaraunts), and malls. About 45 min south of Jax is st. Augustine, which is another town similar to savannah. So there's lots of touristy things to do there. Now, between Sav and Jax we have St. Simons Island, which is very low key. It's not far from I-95, maybe 10-20 mi. Down at the pier, you have a nice park, sight seeing, and beach access. So that would be a good place to let her get her wiggles out.
I stink at coming up with things to do that are more kid friendly. Haha Walker is just content at this point to people watch.

Charleston! We do the trip to Jacksonville a few times a year because my brother is down there. It's about 3 hours from Charlotte to here and then 4 1/2 or so from here to the southern side of Jacksonville.
