Fluids didn't work. Contractions slowed down a smidge but are still happening regularly. I'm not feeling all of them - which is apparently not great. And some of what I thought was fetal movement/baby butt, were actually contractions.
Perinatologist got approval from cardiologist to give me anti-contraction meds as long as I am monitored. He'll be stopping in to check on me, too.
I'm in the hospital until at least tomorrow afternoon.
Tomorrow afternoon I have a protein test. If I pass, I may get to go home for bed rest. Contractions may still determine that. They can't do the protein test until 2pm because I had an internal ultrasound today, and the lubrication they used on the ultrasound probe needs 24 hrs to absorb/pass or the protein test results will be inconclusive.
If I fail the protein test, I'm in the hospital until the baby arrives, and chances are he will arrive pretty early. Definitely early, and maybe within the next 2 weeks type of early...
I need prayers that I pass that protein test so the little guys keeps cooking.
They estimate he weighs just 3 lbs.
I locked my Facebook wall as we haven't told my husband's family yet. We'll wait until we have more info tomorrow. No need for lots of people to worry. But if you notice a glitch on Facebook, please avoid publically posting there, thanks.
And thanks again for everyone who gave me insight today. It was appreciated.

Definitely thinking of you! I know some many people who have had PTL and were able to get meds to push off deliver for weeks (months) and others who had babies around your time with ultimately happy endings (hard road but good endings). I pray that you keep that little guy cooking but it also sounds like you're in good hands.
Good luck!! My brother was born at 29 weeks and was perfect--just tiny (2 lbs, 15 oz.). He is now 20 and 5'11". I hope he cooks for many more weeks, though! Sending prayers your way.
will be praying lots and lots. Being in the hospital is scary and being on the monitors sucks, I'm sorry I hope they are letting you eat. If so order a nice hot breakfast in the morning. My fave was pancakes, bacon (extra bacon) and scrambled eggs, plus juice and orange juice.
For a glimmer of hope, While I certainly don't have all of things you're dealing with, I did contract regularly for weeks and weeks with zero progress.
Hugs!! I'm praying for you. I hope the Ffn is negative tomorrow. You're not dilating or anything right? He could very well still be full term.
Right, not dilated at all!
That is great news.
This may not be helpful or applicable, but I have regular contractions beginning in the second trimester and have always gone to term. None of the early contractions dilated or shortened my cervix. First pregnancy it was alarming but then they figured out it was just how my body handles pregnancy.
