a general wishlist somewhere for people to access? I thought maybe this would be nice since H wants to sometimes buy me gits but has no idea. Then he has to just ask me and spoil the surprise. The things I like don't all come from one store soooo.
I have a running list on Amazon. My BFF and MIL mainly use it, but sometimes my siblings or my parents will.
DH despises being told what to buy me, even when it's something really basic and necessary like a good cork screw. Now that I didn't get one for my birthday or Christmas, I am going out to buy myself one in the post-holiday sales this month.

I have 5 ongoing amazon wishlists. 1) For DH and my family (it's not public but I share the link with them around xmas and my bday) 2) A separate one for his parents (they're weird and I know that MIL would probably comment negatively about things on my other wishlist) - also not searchable but I share the link with them 3) One for DD, also just via shared link 4) One for myself to keep track of things I want for purposes other than presents - it's private 5) One for things I want for professional purposes - it's also private
BFP1: DD born April 2011 at 34w1d via unplanned c/s due to HELLP, DVT 1 week PP
BFP2: 3/18/12, blighted ovum, natural m/c @ 7w4d
BFP3: DD2 born Feb 2013 at 38w3d via unplanned RCS due to uterine dehiscence
I have a few. 1 is searcheable (so that if someone out of the blue suddenly wants to buy me a present, they can) the rest are private, but I could share links if I wanted to.
When I still actively blogged I used to keep my kitchen gadget and cookbook wishlist updated on my blog. People have been known to buy stuff for me off of that one as well.
I didn't even know you could make public wish lists! I usually email DH a list of things I'd like because I know he stresses out otherwise (I have learned over the years that he does not pick up hints, no matter how obvious I make them). But making a wish list online seems like a great idea!
I love my Amazon wishlist, and I use their add-in to be able to add things from other websites I like. It's public, but no one ever uses it. I wish they would! Mostly I end up just looking over it once in a while and buying stuff for myself!
